I had to run dxdiag, and change my soundcard accerlation down one notch, he had to put a custom entry in his bf2 shotcut giving his screen resolution to properly work with his DVI monitor. Both of us found our answers on EA's support page believe it or not.

Fuck.

The problem's come back again. I get back from a 1 and a half month holiday and think all will be fine and this happens again.

I've tried:

Reinstalling and repatching.
Clearing localization (that seemed to be the problem last time)
Resetting the refresh rate to 60hz
Updating the windows patch which badhq says may cause this problem
Deleting all profile files.

Any suggestions?
