I figured some of you hardcore debaters here would enjoy this site as well. It's more competitive as opposed to just the friendly open discussions we enjoy here.

Convinceme.net is the ultimate debating website. First off it's free to join. You can create any number challenges, and compete in any number of debates that other users create as challenges. Compete for votes, a winning record, and points. It's your chance to convince the world that you are right! If you get a certain number of points, and have a winning record, you can also have the chance of competing in our Debate Playoffs, with a chance to win a grand prize in the Super Bowl of debating!

If you don't want to compete, and are just interested in debating your opinion along with others, you can create open debates. These have no winners, losers, or points but the general public can still vote on the subject.

Ok, I have you guys added. Start with the open debates. Make sure if you are participating in a debate to add it to your watch list so it can be found easily when you go to your profile.

I would like to see many of the regulars get registered there. That way when we have a hot topic we can have a formal tally of who is presenting the better argument (In terms of opinions). Plus you can go head to head .

Someone explain to me how these points work. What happens, when the points reach 10, for example, on one side the person with 10 wins? Do those then get added to their total?

I am the founder. I created it to give myself a playground. I love to debate, but am sick of forums and overcrowded chatrooms. We will do a lot of the same things that CM does. However, our interface is better, our site is easier to manuever, and most importantly...you will debate in real-time.
