Yea Im taking this serious, j/k from the guys weak voice, with no conviction and that pussy reference to the Nazi party resembling the Eagle, Globe & Anchor.

Some of the things this guy tries to discuss:
We are all losers, scraped up from the bottom of the barrel, they dropped the requirements, and now they are allowing Dwarfs in the Corps, the training is "pretty easy" {the video guy}" I know" if your in pretty good shape any one can do it, if you can run for a while, even a dwarf or a woman can do it. I tried to out last you guys and watch the whole thing but I could only stand listening to this wannabe a US Marine guy for a little over 5 mins. I think this ego maniac, thinks he is too intelligent for the Corps, and couldn't make it through boot camp.

Well I went to MCRD in San Diego, so I guess I'm safe from all the brainwashing that goes on at the Island, where you train with women and dwarfs!  What a waste of oxygen and bandwidth that punk is.

Some of this stuff is a little radical, well... very radical, but is it all bullshit?  I really don't think so.

It is true that many recruits are young, impressionable teens with no other options.  I suppose you can say "low lifes" but I think it's more along the lines of misinformed. -- why else would every corp of the military come to my high school to recruit???  I wouldn't go so far to call it "brainwashing" per say, however it is something close.  No human being in their right mind, wants to actually kill someone.  That is instilled by some other being, whether it be a psychological mix up or lets call it "patriotism" though recently I've taken a liking to propaganda.

To wrap things up, when it comes to things like these, don't go with the flow and brush it off as bullshit.  You can learn some valuable lessons from radicals or conspiracy theorists though you do have to take what they say with a grain of salt.  He does have a entirely valid point, I can see where he is coming from though I don't entirely agree with it.  Subordination by conformity would be a better way to put it

This guy is an idiot, i very much doubt he knows much of what he is saying, i very much doubt this dude has been to Iraq / Fallujah.

I fully agree.  For anything to run well you need conformity.  But I also see where this guys coming from.  I find it infuriating that the first thing people do is comment on his high voice or lack of testicles, I bet you didn't even actually listen to what the man had to say and think about it.

Admittedly, I only got about halfway through....  You should know by now though that I am typically an anti-government voice here.  I just don't like people like this narrator, because he gives anti-establishment movements a bad name.  It's kind of like how Libertarianism has a lot of good ideas, but the party is often weighed down by nutcases.  This guy sounds like a typical conspiracy theorist who lacks in facts and direction.

Still, I agree with a very small amount of what he's said.  Most of my distrust concerning Iraq is not aimed at soldiers, however.  I just distrust the defense contractors.  Soldiers are trained to serve our society -- corporations are trained to make a buck regardless of the costs to society.

They clean themselves with a mixture of metal files, emory cloth, engine degreaser, a blowtorch, gasoline, DDT, and a roto rooter.  And Dentyne gum.  But there's no "washing" a Marine.

this is getting to be quite the quote pyramid but again, completely agree.

Though I think that this so called "brainwashing" begins at a very early age.  I have a kid in one of my classes whose mom is in Iraq and the other day he was telling us about how his mom just sent him a picture of her in some helicopter helmet smiling and he put it up on his myspace account with a caption titled "when my mom kills, she smiles".  And that's the kind of sick stuff that doesn't come naturally.  Personally I think it is a symptom of media domination, most people don't really think for themselves anymore, but I guess it's necessary in order to keep the masses controlled and "well educated" on current events.

About the brainwashing, to a certain extent, this is true. Drilling to get people used to reacting without thinking is not because they want control, it is to increase their chances of survival.

OK this is going to be my last word on the topic because I need to finish my Spanish project.  Spearhead, manipulation is the exact word I was searching for, just couldn't think of it.
