This is a compendium of all the removed and unreleased weapons, vehicles and awards in Battlefield 2 and all expansions/boosters.
(I sent it to Snake a while ago via PM so he can make a Wiki entry from it too.)
I'm gonna edit this post later with more info for some of the awards requirements.

My guesses are (from left to right):

That one has a binocular symbol in it. Probably something to do with the laser designator to guide missiles that the spec ops kit was supposed have (as seen in this old video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFT5mH3QzSs)
This one looks like it has anchor symbols in it. Could have had something to do with the hovercraft or the boats. Although, anchors are normally symbolized upside down, so this symbol could also show a grappling hook, like the one in the SF badges.
No idea about the yellow/red ribbon. Someone on the forum suggested it may have something to do with transport.
No idea about the blue ribbon with the yellow snake. I think it has something to do with water/boats. (Someone posted a fake screenshot where he suppesedly got that reward while cruising in a boat and called it "Sea Service Ribbon".)
No idea about the lightblue ribbon with the ring. Someone on the forum suggested revives, although it looks like a lifering to me.

Studios:
DICE NY (originally called Trauma Studios) were the developers of the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 and were bought by DICE only to be closed down again after several months.

Yes, underwater. James Bond style.

BTW, the APS is a Soviet underwater weapon based on the AK. Fully automatic, shooting bolt-like rounds.

That's where the speargun and the APS (a Soviet full-auto underwater weapon based on the AK) were supposed to show up for underwater battles.

Yeah, something like that would be nice.
I was thinking about a free content pack that gets release with a patch and adds all the removed stuff where it was supposed to be in the first place.
If not on the current maps, adding new maps for each one could help.

I remember reading somewhere that they were gonna have the hovercraft with hummers on or something, they made the hover craft then realised it was too difficult to have vehicles on top of each other so never used it.
If they took this stuff off the disc wouldn't it make the game smaller and therefore better to install/DL or would it be negligible?

you know, if EA does one thing before they completely leave BF2 forever i wish it would be to release all this stuff, ok maybe not the medals and badges and ok underwater stuff would be asking a bit much (keep the weapons though), but just to put this stuff in the maps would be a nice sort of official send off for the game.
