Ensure plus will do nothing for you.
Breakfast: 2 eggs (boiled or poached), wholemeal toast, yogurt or a protein shake if your lazy
11am - low fat yogurt, banana, handful of nuts
Lunch: Tuna sandwich (no mayo) water, fruit.
3pm - cottage cheese, fruit
preworkout - 30g protein shake 150ml water 150ml skimmed milk
workout
postworkout - 30g protein shake 300ml water (within 30 minutes)
Dinner - grilled cod/salmon/chicken/haddock/trout/tuna & steamed veg
1 hour before bed - cottage cheese or greek yogurt.
work the large muscles (60% of all your muscles are in your legs and back) & work muscles thoroughly 1 day a week using both horizontal and vertical planes
mon: rest (gym is always busy on a monday for me)
tues: legs
wed: shoulders
thurs: cardio or rest
friday: chest
sat: back
sun: rest or cardio
I change the above every 6 weeks with 1 week in between of just cardio in order to 'reset'. Make sure you alternate between 'pushing' workout (chest and shoulders) and 'pulling' workout (back). No more than 30-45 mins on your workout and do at least 20-30 min cardio after working out.
Every 3 months take 1 week off complete rest. Get some cod liver in you daily as well.
Don't expect it to be easy gaining muscle mass is slow and arduous work.
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
