I've been a fan of the Streetfighter series for many years now, and picked this up for the PC a couple of days back now at half the price of the console versions! So far I am LOVING this game! I was surprised at how well it runs on the pc, as previous non - console versions have played like shit. Unlocked all the extra characters, and I'm working on the combo challenge mode thing, but boy do they get difficult. Online again I was surprised at how fluid everything is, I've not had a hint of lag in over 100 battles. Share your fave characters, combos, and tales of online victories here!

I think my Seth is bugged in arcade mode

Playing on medium I breezed through the regular guys but Seth whooped me every time. I tried arcade again on hardest and Seth is only as hard as he was in medium. Even on easy Seth is the same, force counters everything, constant teleport spam into EX SRK or EX zangief command throw.

So far I've been trying to get good with Sagat. Got the timing down for his super link into ultra and EX hyper uppercut into ultra. I cant do anything else consistently but I find those 2 are sufficient in most cases.

I've found the key to fighting Seth is to keep him at about 3/4 range. That forces him into using his Dhalsim type punch or his Sonic Booms. You can jump over them and open up with your combos then. He does get a little too much sometimes, he gets near invincible when he gets going. Online I'm having a bit of success with E.Honda and Blanka. I think that's because most players pick the Ryu type characters and it's a bit alien when they come up against someone with a different moveset. I've won a few tourneys in championship mode and had quite a few more runners up spots. Hate coming up against decent Guile or Zangief players though, they seem to be my undoing thus far.

Meh what are fighting games worth without a playstation controller where you smash x square, triangle and circle randomly?

As if the combo's of tekken aren't hard enough to remember, I don't need other games too tbh -.-

are there a lot of players online for the pc version?

what kind of controllers are you using?

is it peer to peer or centralized network play?

i want to buy this, not sure if i want to go pc or ps3. if tekken 5 is any indication, playing online on ps3 might be shite.

on the other hand, playing games like this is kind of the reason i even have a ps3. plus i would be able to get a nice arcade stick for it.

Yeah there are plenty of players online on the pc version, takes but seconds to get a matchup. It's peer to peer as opposed to centralised network play, and I'm playing with a Playstation 2 pad on my pc. I'd go for the pc version simply beacause it was half the price of the console versions, and I'm a tight bastard! Still very much enjoying the game, but then again I've loved SF games for so long now I can't imagine not playing them.
