It lets the recipient play the game for 3 days, but an unused Guest Pass will run out half way through Sept.

But I wouldn't use it just yet seeing as how there's a free weekend about to start. Don't redeem them until its over and you can get 5 days of TF2 instead of 3. If you play in the free weekend you can also let it pre-load right now and then you won't have to worry about downlooading it.

It might also be an idea to wait another week or so to let the Heavy spam die down a little.

But yes it's definitely worth the download. Just don't be expecting a standard fps, because a standard fps it aint.
