Oh btw, Italians make the best looking cars without a doubt. Americana muscle has it's charm, as do some of the old British marques. The teutonic lot are probably the best all rounders, but every wondered why they're always in black? Because the style's are largely boring.

We should probably make a discussion for this and get out of the "spotting" thread. Also, Aston hasn't been owned by Ford for years now.

Not da V10 version.
Even the V8 version has been boosted to 560 hp. Which, incidentally, is more than the F430, the 911 Turbo, the DBS, the Gallardo, the Corvette, the GTR, and almost every other car on the planet.

They're still british brands even though they are owned by foreigners.  Your 'point' is for a different argument.

And Aston Martin is back in British Hands.

lol motortrend says the v10 r8 is epic fail. its barely faster. the r8 is a joke. they charge 50 over sticker for a car and a year later come out with a new one that makes the old one obsolete. and now the people who payed 50 over sticker are totally fucked and will never be able to sell them

My mom and dad have a benz and ive got a bimmer and none of us have front plates. but here in CA they're more lax about it unless the cop decides to be a total dick. and even so its usually if you get pulled over for something else. its only like a 25 dollar fine. and thats a price im willing to pay to keep my car in tact without gaping holes and plastic all over her, in 10 years my parents have never had a problem.

and they have a retractable front plate holder with a remote for 60 bucks on the internet that retracts under your bumper if you wanna besafe but 60 bucks is more than the ticket lol

And what's wrong with "ricer" Hondas?

And why does every douche bag Amerifag defend American cars to the death? They're shite!
If I want a car that doesn't handle, is badly built, has horrible efficiency, has a ridiculously low power output-per-engine size, and weighs a fucking ton I'll buy American. But I don't want any of that. So I'll buy from just about anywhere else other than America. All American cars with the exception of maybe one or two are shite.
Assume much?

I don't care much for American anyways, and I live here. I only like American Diesels because well.... we have the best ones.

I don't care for ricers, because they are... ricers. No matter how many "Type R" stickers you throw at a car, its still a Honda.

And I would just like to venture a guess that you have probably driven 2 to perhaps 3 American-built cars in your life. Which is a stark generalization to "horribly built, horrible efficiency, ridiculously low power output per engine size, and weighs a fucking ton"

I would like to know what American cars you have driven, and which ones you believe are the exception. Back your shit up if you spew it out of your mouth.

I will. Look at the warranties, look at the avergae resale value of American cars. The fact is, until this year, the Big Three were using a 70s vintage business model. And even when it satrted failing in the early nineties, they kept going. Why? Because the arrogantly believed that the NA market was theirs. And now, one is bankrupt, another in dire straits. Only Ford is still alive, because of its European/BRIC divisions.
A company that doesn't evlove, doesn't grow.

Now as for the cars: I've had the misfortune of being in several GM cars over my life (mostly my dad driving). Soft, bouncy and fat would be my description. A bit like a hamburger, really. Always centred on comfort. Which is great for people aged 70+ (who really shouldn't be driving anyways--) The only american cars I like aren't really american, they're Opel.

So, GM/Ford/Chrysler especially, fail.

Not to say ricers are any better--you're very right about the "Type-R" crap. I think that if you want to impress fellow uni students, drive a 944.
I have always driven German cars, and I always will.
I like pie.
