Each jet in the game has it's own advantage, the j-10 is immune to missiles, the F-35 is the fastest jet in the game so long as you stratorun. I've gotten so good at stratorunning in the F-35 that I can't stand flying the sloppy ass J-10 anymore. The F-35 is so stable that it makes gunning down J-10s easy once you get behind em. I'll admit, that's how I got into guns. But I work with guns every day, I put about 50-100 rounds down barrel damn near every day of the week. I don't really see them as anymore than a tool, they used to seem powerful, but not anymore. The reason people see them as powerful is because they are not familiar with guns.[pt] KEIOS wrote:

stick to the truth - it´s a weird satisfaction to have a powerfull tool in hands... nothing more...
What you said about the blah blah blah part is very untrue. I deal with gun owners every day, and just about all of the handguns I see are from owners who are worried about self or home defense. And almost all women shooters (about 30% of my customers are women believe it or not) seem to be interested in self defense. You have to remember, here in the states there is less of a stigma around guns and they don't have the same allure as elsewhere.
This is a rather old picture of my collection, I've got a lot more guns now, and some are missing from the picture.
The gun on the far left was a work in progress in this picture, now it's my custom built Remington 700 in .338 Lapua.
Second gun is my FAL
Third (underneath FAL) is my CZ-75
4th was my SKS, I sold it a while back
5th is my Romak 3, it's not an SVD, just looks like one, I do own a real SVD now, but oddly enough the Romak shoots better.
6th underneath the Romak 3 was my Bulgarian Makarov, I gave it to my mom as a birthday present.
7th is my Garand, any serious gun collector is required to own a Garand
8th under the Garand was my Rock Island 1911, I did a ton of custom work to that thing, but sold it to a friend a while back and bought a Colt 1911.
10th is a Rhineland Arms R22, I bought it from a guy who had sent it back to factory several times to get it fixed but never could. I picked it up for 1/6th the price it is new, fixed it, and sold it for what it costs new
11th My Remington 870, general home defense, and I shoot clays with it on a regular basis.
12th is a sporterized Japanese Arisaka, it's a POS I got for free a while back and I can't get rid of the damn thing.
13th is a Chilean Mauser built in 1893, I sold it to a collector a while back.
Missing from the picture
My S&W K-22
My SVD
My AR-15
My PTR-91 (G3 clone)
My Browning A-5
My Browning Hi-Power
My New Colt 1911
My Glenfield .22 (my first gun)
My Ruger 10/22
My Mexican Mauser
And probably a couple more I'm forgetting.

Pretty comprehensive listing of things he said (or his ghostwriter said after tying Paul to a chair and refusing to let him read it until it'd been printed and distributed) as well as his connections to groups like the CCC (Council of Conservative Citizens, occasionally known as "the KKK in suits"). I fully expect to be torn apart on this one and I don't rightly care. Phony populist fuckers like Paul who try to maintain broad public appeal while engaging in dog-whistle politics intended to also court far-right extremists piss me right the fuck off.
And thanks for the link, gotta spend some time reading it now.

Either he couldn't be bothered to read what was being written in his name or he agreed with it and then used the staff firing to give himself plausible deniability when he realized it was generating negative publicity.
If mainstream media would give him any attention he'd have the presidency easily, but mainstream pretty much ignores him. If you talk to anyone who's not on the internet, they don't know who Ron Paul is. But when you get on just about any internet based poll, Ron Paul is the winner.Turquoise wrote:

I actually wouldn't say he's against abortion, he's very much a Constitutionalist. And there really is nothing in the constitution that would allow (or on the flip side, outlaw) abortion. If I remember correctly, he's of the mindset, that Abortion is a state issue, not a federal issue, and that if the people want it as a Federal issue, they need to get an amendment passed.Spearhead wrote:

Coming from a Democrat, I think Ron Paul is one of the best candidates running for president. He may be against some things we lefties support, such as universal health care, right to have an abortion, etc, but on the other hand he supports many things we lefties hold dearly, such as right to life (INCLUDING prisoners on death row, I mean), isolationism, and other things which quite frankly make him look like a liberal commie.
Right now, the country needs more people like Ron Paul running for office. He's a Republican, no doubt, but he's not a hypocrite, which is something every American who votes should take note of. He has very conservative values, while at the same time having some extremely liberal ones. If by some miracle Paul gets the Republican nomination, my vote would go to him before the big-time democrats.
So, what do you think? Too moderate for you neo-cons out there? Too conservative for you liberals? Explain why you would love, or hate, to see Ron Paul leading the United States.
If he did win, and became president, he would be the highest educated president in US history, he is a Doctor after all.

Have had her since I was in high school. It's a 91 Toyota MR2 Turbo. I've actually done an (almost) complete rebuild to the car, a complete rebuild on the engine, a new aftermarket turbo, new aftermarket suspension, a seriously bad ass paint job, and basically tore out every moving component and cleaned it, replaced it, or repaired it as needed. I still need to fork out the money to get the interior re-done, I haven't really decided on a theme yet, I want it to be simple, but cool (no LCD screens or any of that crap).
Oh and my best time with her was a 12.97 @ 107mph in the quarter at 15psi of boost. I could easily get more power out of her, but that's not what I'm after any more, I like her where she is.
My daily driver is a 2003 S10 ZR2. This isn't my truck, just giving you an idea.
Also have a 2000 Yamaha Banshee for offroading fun. Once again, not mine, just giving you the idea
And finally, something I'm planning to get, I've got the money set aside, I'm just trying to find the right one.

The mossy has a much weaker locking system than the 870, and it tends to crack the locking block. This is potentially very dangerous, if the locking block decides to let go, the gun will likely open up, very violently when fired, likely launching things out of the gun. The action bar is also a bit cheesy and tends to break often. And then there is the safety.Parker wrote:

i have put a nice number of rounds though it, say at least 2000, and the only issue i have had is with the safety.
im sure you are familiar with that particular type of safety.....anyway, when i shot it, the safety, from the force of the gun, would engage.
my solution was to take out the screw and put on some loctite i have for my knives, and then screw it in as hard as i could without stripping it.
seemed more like a manufacturing error than anything.
but i want to know what to look out for before anything happens.
This isn't to say the 870 is without issues, the newer ones tend to have tight chambers, which makes extraction difficult. The shell latches also have some issues, but they are manufacturing defects 99% of the time.
Really, the reason I like the 870 is because it's a sound design, when properly fitted it doesn't have any weak spots, whereas the 500 even when fit properly still has weak spots.

870 is a good choice, it's probably the best made pump shotgun on the market as far as reliability goes that has actually been produced consistantly for the past 50 years. The Ithica 37 is probably the best pump shotgun around, but the company can't stay in business for some reason.
One of the better things about the 870 is that it shoulders perfectly for just about everyone, that means when you put it on your shoulder the sites are lined up. A good way to test this is to close your eyes, shoulder the gun and then open them, if you have to move your head or the gun to get the sites to line up it means you will have trouble shooting skeet or trap, or birds if your hunting. The Remington shotguns (the double barrels and semi-autos included) all seem to shoulder well for most people.
Don't forget that the 870 also has loads of aftermarket parts that can be added to make the gun into anything you want.

Of course, remington only has a couple guns worth owning too, the 700 is one of the best bolt rifles around, but it's the only good rifle Remington seems to be able to pump out. And their shotguns are pretty damn good. Especially the Remington 11/87, when I was working at a Remington warranty center that gun was hardly ever in, and if it was in, it was only because people were shooting too powerful of ammo for the gun.

Oh it's not impossible, it would just be highly illegal. a tazer requires that you engage in hand to hand combat. unless you get one of the "gun" tazers, and you cant really conceal those either.
i practice on a weekly basis to prevent mistakes like what you described. you can never guarantee that nothing will go wrong, but at least you will have a chance if someone starts shooting at you.
oh and i carry something that i would use long before i drew my weapon......ill give you a hint, its about 9 inches long and its made from S30V stainless steel
I was referring to the dart-and-wires tazer. They drop someone pretty much instantly on impact, and they're the size of a large pistol. Again, try harder if you can't hide it.
Practice is one thing, but people still panic when faced with trouble. And no matter how careful you are, you're still gonna drop it sooner or later.
And if you're bashing someone with what sounds like a large dildo or maglite, you're in hand-to-hand combat anyway. The 12 gauge is usually strong enough to be used as a bludgeon.
your reference to the dart-and-wires stun gun means that you would have to carry something, like you said, the size of a large handgun........except one problem....you get one shot.
i understand people panic under certain situations, thats why i wrote, "you can never guarantee that nothing will go wrong" up there ^^^
from what i gather you know very little about firearms in general, so when you say something like "you arent trying hard enough" when talking about the concealment of a shotgun, if kind of verifies that belief.
DEAR GOD AVOID S&W AUTO PISTOLS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!
They are absolutely the worst auto pistols on the market by a major manufacturer. I haven't had a chance to toy with an M&P yet, but if the other autos S&W makes are any comparison they are junk. Seems rather odd cause S&W makes probably the highest quality revolvers of the major manufacturers. I actually have to charge more for a clean & oil of S&W autos because they've got so many god damned springs in them it makes reassembly a bitch, I think I counted over 27 springs in a S&W Model 410. Compare that to the 1911 which has 5 including mag spring, or 6 if you count the extractor as a spring (it itself is a spring).
As for .40vs45acp, it's simply personal preference. You deciding factors should be, how big are your hands, can you handle the recoil? If so I'd get the .45acp, most of the newer auto's out there can hold about 12-14rnds of 45acp, and I hate to say it, but if you need more than that in a personal defense situation your fucked anyways. If you've got smaller hands and can't handle the recoil get the .40S&W, in just about any situation you probably won't have to fire the gun in self defense, most criminals at the site of a gun aimed at them, run in terror or start begging for mercy.

I don't think it's a PTRS. PTRS looks to be gas operated and that gun was a bolt gun. Which would mean that there would be this very anoying hole in the middle of the barrel, if they did manage to convert it to a bolt gun, where very high pressure hot gases would be flying out. ANd welding on a barrel to fill that hole is one of the biggest no no's you could possibly do.
TBH I'm not sure it's as big a gun as we think, the picture makes it kind of hard to get a feel for the dimensions, but it could just be a 7.62x54R.

Anyone willing to shoot this is likely on a one way mission, that rust is so deep I wouldn't be surprised at all if it blew up in the shooters face.
It does have the look that it might shoot shotgun ammunition though, either that or flares. Both are low pressure (a .22LR has more pressure behind it than a 12 gauge) but that's still gotta be able to handle at least 15,000psi.
Remove weight from the car is cheap and relatively easy. thing's like removing the sound deadening material, seats speakers that sort of junk.
If you want to keep it normal looking on the inside there are a couple things to do to the engine, but they aren't going to do a whole lot, hardly noticeable really. A cold air intake system will help any vehicle (would help to know what kind of car you have btw) as well as less restricting exhaust. Those are safe means of extra power, going a whole lot further than that tends to do things that wear out the engine faster.
If you don't care about engine life you can do a whole lot more, like Nitrous injection, throwing a turbo or supercharger on messing with the computer and if your really serious, rebuilding the engine.

BANNED for being too high ranked for the server. Everyone above the rank of Lieutenant was kicked or banned from the server.
Paint stripper does some nasty things to the paint (obviously).
Set up something like nails or screws for them to run over when they move the vehicle.
Tie a large zip tie to the drive line (or a chain or metal cable if you want to damage things) it makes a god awful noise.
Caulk all the door seams with a good sealant.
Just some of the more creative things I saw when I was working at a dealership in my teenage years.

It's not that he got his dick sucked (He gets +1 for that) it's that he lied to everyone in the country about it that pisses people off. He purgered himself in front of congress and got away with it. Many politicians have been hung out to dry for less.
Not to mention his push for the Federal AW ban which is what I really dislike the man for.
Oh and I can't forget Waco, boy did his administration fuck that up.
Actually other than those three things (and his Intelligence cuts, but that was just a sign of the times, the Soviet union was gone, why did we need such a large military and intelligence service anymore?) I think he wasn't really that bad. He didn't really do much of anything as a president, he just kind of sat back and enjoyed the ride (take that any way you want).

then why did you call him a quack?
Just want to point out that you could go in circles with that argument (I don't favor either opinion, but I'm pointing it out). Paul is pretty much saying that the Muslims only attacked because of our foreign policy, and that if we hadn't been playing world police it would have never happened. But I do have to say, now that they have attacked us on our own land there really is no going back.The_Mac wrote:
No, he's a quack. He seeks to appeal to the libertarians within the Republican party, but he's not getting anywhere. For one thing, he blames too much on American Foreign policy, and second, his isolation policy is nice and dandy if we hadn't been attacked by Arabs.CommieChipmunk wrote:
lol.. would have expected that from you.usmarine2005 wrote:

I suppose any sign of intelligence in the republican party automatically sets of the "quack detectors" eh?
It seems liberals and dumbasses alike cite Bush's claims to withdrawing America from world affairs before he was elected as proof he's a hypocrite--only problem is they seem to forgot one problem--we were attacked by Muslim bums.
Iron Gator
Is there anything on that map that looks good? Lifeless on the land, and then it's water water water, then big chunk of steel in the water that you run around in.

Could someone please give me a link that has evidence showing that he thinks 911 was a conspiracy?
This guy has my vote, hope like hell he gets the nomination. Be nice to have an old school republican back in office (think Eisenhower). What republicans are today would make most republicans from 50 years ago cringe in horror, but the same could be said about the democrats. What the hell happened to this country anyways?

Don't forget about bows either. Hell I'm a gunsmith and I prefer to hunt with bows, love the challenge, that and it doesn't ruin the meat like high velocity bullets do.
Show me a quality French product first, besides wine. I'm not talking about the stereotype here, I've honestly never seen a quality French product.RicardoBlanco wrote:
What's wrong with a 35 hour week? Ever heard of quality over quantity?
To be honest I don't think I could stand only being aloud to work 35 hours a week, I go nuts on the weekend cause I've got so little to do except in the summer time (spend almost all my time doing water sports during the summer weekends). When I started working after college it took me almost a year to get used to only having to work 40 hours a week. When I was in college I was usually pulling 50-60 hours a week, I know because I had to keep a time card, had to prove to the state that I was in class a minimum of 39 hours a week. The way the program was set up that I was taking gave us one college credit a week, usually did 20 credits a semester.
