I am running Windows XP x64.
I don't regret it, but I would go with regular 32 bit if I bought a new version of Windows XP.
There is no performance increase unless you have 4GB or more of RAM. (I believe there is a small decrease if you have less than 4GB.)
On the drivers, I have found very few games that dont work in x64, and most companies have drivers for their products.
