Thats only true when your passively watching moving images (like a movie) not when you are actively playing a game.ilyandor wrote:
the human brain can not notice the difference between 24 fps and above.
I think its just that the textures and vehicle renders aren't as polished and detailed as BF2 so it gives off that feel.usmarine2005 wrote:

i was expecting more, this has that *lowbudgetfilm* feel to it.
Some pickups are unnecessary. For example there is one standard rpg, one pickup anti-personnel rpg, and another pickup super-anti-tank rpg.
Why would anyone shoot their missiles after you dropped your flares?ThomasMorgan wrote:
Ascend, wait for lock, drop flares, see where the missiles were fired from, drop down. Reload flares, ascend, point TV view in that direction, get lock, drop flares, TV away, AA down.
and all those people stating how they can run bf2 at medium-high settings with a 6600gt
30fps - medium settings 1024x768 - 6600gt?
no luck?
I recently purchased a leadtek a6600gt (AGP) because I wanted to be able to play the game in at least medium settings. When I got the gfx card I was a little dissapointed with the performance so I upgraded to a fortron 400w power supply. Still I am getting low fps despite other people constantly saying they can easily run this card with no lag with all medium settings. I used fraps to benchmark my system with all medium settings and averaged 3 benchmarks. In single player strike at karkand I averaged about 40fps and in multiplayer I averaged 30fps or less.
Here are my specs:
AMD Athlon 3200 XP
FIC AU31
1GB PC2700 RAM
Leadtek Windfast A6600GT TDH
160GB Hard Drive
Windows XP Home
Newest forceware drivers
any help would be greatly appreciated

just for a 33mhz increase? cmon
I have 2 sticks of PC3200 RAM but my motherboard downclocks it to PC2700 because I have an emachines T3256.
I recently purchased a leadtek 6600gt agp and have noticed it has been underperforming compared to other users. Here are my specs.
AMD Athlon 3200+ XP
Windows XP Home
1 GB PC2700 RAM DDR
160GB Hard Drive
Leadtek Geforce 6600GT AGP
300W Power supply with 12 volts and 15 amps
I am aware that my 300W power supply may not be sufficient but I have not recieved any error messages like, "your power supply does not meet recommended specifications". My question was that could the card be not performing to its maximum potential due to the powersupply without telling me?

yeah, every single settings is either off or low, do those look like high quality graphics?

Recently after I installed the new patch I have been getting strange patches of black randomly in the game. These patches of black are shown in the following screenshots.
I was wondering if this was some kind of bug or artifacts from my graphics card, I haven't really noticed anything in any other games.

my only complaint about claymores is that you should be able to disarm them by shooting them...
I have the ATI Radeon 9600XT, and all my settings are on low, this only occurs when I'm flying helicopters in sf not in Battlefield 2.ilyandor wrote:
I have the same problem. I think it is definately the program's fault, like you sayed it playes fine in BF2, but SF is gay like that. Do you have an ATI card?
When I am I pilot in a helicopter while playing special forces I experience a great amount of lag. This is bizarre because its only when I'm a pilot and only in special forces. The lag and fps loss I experience is unplayable. I can fly fine in Battlefield 2 and in the gunner position I don't experience any lag.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK I understand the search function and I have read all those guides weeks ago, I am looking for a guide to help beginners like myself to learn how to fly, not some useless advanced tactics (no disrespect to the author)
Can anyone recommend a good guide to flying a helicopter in battlefield 2?
yeah bobgreen5s isn't my account, isoquad is my account
Are there headshots in this game (besides sniper rifles), and if so is there any headshot damage statistics on the interweb anywhere?
nope
OK is there anyone like me that hasn't had a popup and drum roll in BF2 telling them they have 2 new unlocks?
good for you fucks
It seems that everyone and their pet dog have gotten 2 extra unlocks but I have not. I have tried logging in and out connecting and reconnecting to servers and am not getting the 2 extra unlocks. Is anyone else having this same issue?
I would never buy dell, I bought a cheap emachines and upgraded some parts.
On a side note I would like to build my own computer but this computer is a friend's computer and I don't feel comfortable building my first computer for someone else.

I don't see why getting teamkilled counts as a death. I just don't see how it makes any sense.
I have a friend that has a 250w power supply and has a graphics card that is unable to play Battlefield 2. He is interested in a video card under $100 that could play Battlefield 2 with medium settings. I was wondering if you guys could help me out.
PS: and no he can't upgrade his PSU because its one of those proprietary dell's

Anyone?
I recently purchased a saitek cyborg graphite without a twist handle. Recently after I bought it I realized how frusterating it was to fly without a twist handle. I decided to bite the bullet and continue using it. I was wondering if there were any other pilots out there who can sucessfully fly planes without a stick handle, and if so I'm curious of what keymappings have worked for you.
