I recently purchased a leadtek 6600gt agp and have noticed it has been underperforming compared to other users. Here are my specs.

AMD Athlon 3200+ XP
Windows XP Home
1 GB PC2700 RAM DDR
160GB Hard Drive
Leadtek Geforce 6600GT AGP
300W Power supply with 12 volts and 15 amps

I am aware that my 300W power supply may not be sufficient but I have not recieved any error messages like, "your power supply does not meet recommended specifications". My question was that could the card be not performing to its maximum potential due to the powersupply without telling me?

Could be the psu, could also be the 1 gig PC2700. BF2 is such a memory hog that 1GB is kinda the unofficial minimum recommended.

You wouldn't see any error messages in regards to an inadequate psu. Most likely it would be game lockups, crashes or even system locks/crashes.

Get a cheapish Antec 400/450W PSU. Great bang for buck, haven't had any problems with anything from Antec, ever.

I'd definately consider upgrading your RAM to at least 1GB of DDR400/PC3200, preferably 2GB. It will last you a while and would be what I consider as a worthy investment. Be sure to pickup a good brand such as Corsair or Geil as well.

I have 2 sticks of PC3200 RAM but my motherboard downclocks it to PC2700 because I have an emachines T3256.

persoanlly i would get a new mobo, a new power supply and a new processor. 3200 is a little weak. I think thats only like 1.8 to 2 ghz if i remember correctly. basically get a new machine just spend the 350 bux.
emachines? eww. if u wanna stay ontop of pc gaming u need to replace everything at least every 2 or 3 yrs.
EDIT: btw under powering ur memory while its under clocked will kill it. be sure to pick up a new power supply at least.
