Oh np, thx for trying , ill mess around with it a bit more and see if i can find a way for it to render properly.
That entirely changes the effect, and also renders black, but again shows properly in the preview
I have a problem, when I render my composition the final result doesnt show the opacity, so any layer below the upper (opacitated) layer, will not show in the final video, while it looks just fine in preview mode. This also goes for the other masks i tried...
I made some screens to be more specific:
In preview it shows this:
And when i render, it shows this:

Works ran prime95 for 25 mins, no problems, gonna up it to 3.8 and keep it that way. Btw temperature remained below/around 70 all the time and went to 50 within 2 secs after i stopped prime 95, awesome Thx
First my setup:
ASUS P6T mobo with latest BIOS version
Core i7 920 (C0 stepping) cpu with Scythe Mugen II cooler
ASUS GTX275 graphics card
Tri-channel (3x 2 Gb) 6 Gb memory, 1600 Mhz
Running on W7 64 bit (7600 RTM)
So, when my BIOS is at default settings, my pc is stable. But as soon as I overclock just a bit my pc crashes (crash, to be exact, it blue-screens and show this message: ' a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval') on prime 95 within a minute or 2.
One of the settings I used in BIOS:
All default, only things changed:
CPU ratio = 20.0 x
BCLK freq. = 150.0 Mhz
It crashes on prime 95 within 2 mins
Other setup, which I copied from
http://www.xbitlabs.com/misc/picture/?s … pg&1=1
Crashes within just seconds
All the time I monitor the CPU temp. and it always stays below 70 degrees C.
The default clock is good enough, but I know for sure that I should be able to OC this CPU to at least 3.8 Ghz with this cooler installed. So far I don't really have any idea why this is happening, anyone have any idea what is causing this?
I have googled for a while, but I haven't found anything relevant...

I have it and it's great!
About the HDD, like this 1? http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articled … p;agid=689
The cheapest GTX260 is from ZOTAC, which is a 192 core. After that comes GTX 260 from Sparkle ( http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articled … p;agid=554 ) I found here ( http://www.sparkle.com.tw/product_detai … sub_id=286 ) that that card does have 216 'steam processors'. Now maybe I'll stick with only one card for now, and build in a second in later, im not sure yet tho...GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:
tbh, SLi 260 (are those Core 216 models? make sure they are!) is best performer out of those. If you can afford it, I highly recommend (I had similar setup and it wasn't that far from GTX 295 tbh)
Ok, another look at this, the next components im going to use for sure:
- Core i7 920 (with the Scythe Mugen 2 cooler)
- ASUS P6T, Sockel 1366, ATX, DDR3
- 6GB-KIT G-Skill DDR3 PC1600, CL 9
- Antec Three Hundred, ATX
- Corsair TX750W (I chose this 1 because the other from Enermax doesn't show up)
- Samsung HD161HJ S-ATA II 160GB 7200, 8 MB Cache, NCQ (For OS, already have a 1 TB HDD)
- Samsung SH-223Q
- PC-assembly for €20, yes im lazy
Total of: €787.57 , without GPU, whats best to choose for the GPU now, with a price range around €250?
- Single GTX 275, ASUS, €204
- Single HD 4890, XFX, €161 OR other brand (more expensive)
- Single GTX 285, ASUS, €287 (only if it's a big enough performance boost compared to the other cards)
- SLI 9800GT ~ 2x €100 (Palit, ZOTAC, Sparkle, Club3d or Point of View (512 and 1024 mB versions))
- SLI GTX260 Min 2x €135 (ZOTAC) Also available in other brands but again, moree expensive, and €270 is already at the max, unless it's really worth the extra money
- Crossfire HD 4870 ~ €246 - €300 , lots of versions/brands
Im pretty sure thats about it , while putting this together, I'm still with the GTX275, I think the value/price ratio on that is the best of all named above. Thx for the advice so far, but I hope you can all help me out with this last thing as well

Prices are from the same website
Ok, i think im going to keep it with this:
- Core i7 920 (with the Scythe Mugen 2 cooler)
- ASUS ENGTX275 896MB
- ASUS P6T, Sockel 1366, ATX, DDR3
- 6GB-Kit GEIL Value PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL8

This for = €1010,65 excl. transport costs
IMO a good deal, better than the origional setup
1 more question, ive put this all together with the pc configurator on that website, but i can't seem to be able to add the cpu cooler, since it detects it already has a boxed cooler. How do i add the cpu cooler so they will install that one, instead of the boxed? If i order it seperately im pretty sure i will have to take of the boxed and install the other 1 myself, which isnt a big problem, but id rather prevent that.

I'd recommend the first system, but come on, MSI mobo and noname power supply? You can do better than that.
What PSU brand and wattage would you recommend?
Okay i updated the specs
Hi, im planning on buying a new pc, but I can't choose between these 2 systems:
System 1:
- Core i7 920 (4 x 2.66 GHz)
- nVidia GTX 275 (896 Mb)
- 6 Gb Corsair DDR 3 RAM (1333 MHz)
- 500 Gb HDD
- MSI X58 PRO-E ATX Mobo
- Inter-Tech Combat Power 750 Watt
- ASUS Vento TA-210 case
Price: ~ €930
System 2
- AMD Phenom2 X4 940 (4 x 3.0 GHz)
- ATI 4870X2 (2048 Mb)
- 8Gb Kingston DDR2 PC2-6400 (800Mhz)
- 1.0 Tb HDD
- ASRock A780GXH/128M Mobo
- Inter-Tech Combat Power 750 Watt
- Antec Three Hundred Midi Tower Black Steel case
Price: €999
Both systems have a 750W powersupply, a DVD rewriter and a case included in the price.
Im strongly thinking about system nr. 1, but I can't make the decision before I get some second opinions or maybe an entirely different setup. So please vote and include the motivation for your vote as well
My budget: €1000 or 1,422.46 USD
I don't care about €50 more or something like that, but I'm trying to keep it below €1000

Dont know if there are any 'famous' heli pilots or gunners, but me and jamesdownes on dalian = unbeatable. Hes a really good pilot and gunner, and im just a little worse at gunning, but good enough. Also played alot with borsen, really good as well, but he stopped playing.

I uploaded a video, only for testing quality, on youtube as well, and it looks like shit: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=UnOVAsGJlIs
Its rendered in 720p, I dont think it should look like this^^. I simply used the make movie function in vegas 9, and chose wmv 6 mbs 720p, that should work, right?
Edit, it does look okay if i add &fmt=22, but it should look good in HQ mode as well imo.
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=UnOVAsGJlIs&fmt=22
Anyways, do u think it looks as good as it can get with fmt=22 added?

Ok, thx, ill just go and try it with a small example to see how it works out
Ok, i recorded the video in half size, with fraps, so the resolution is 840 x 524, id like to keep that resolution, will rendering in that size / aspect ratio cause problems in youtube?
Im making a new movie, and i was wondering what is the best way to render it, i use Vegas 9.0. Maybe some of u know some good codecs which i can download and/or settings to put in Vegas. The video is meant to be uploaded on Vimeo and youtube, i think ill render lower settings for youtube, so it will take less time to upload it there.
Any tips?

Nice job, also on the editing

Nice job
Can u also put renderer.drawfps 1 in usersettings.con?
Samsung 223bw, 22" looks great
Pretty good, but definitely not best by far
Everything works, as long as u practise it long enough, it doesnt really matter
