I would substitute a sniper  or two for the medics, especially if you are on a map like Jalalabad.  I don't think you need four medics in a squad. Otherwise I concur.

A sniper does good in IO. Just stay with the squad (literally like with/around it) and hit people from far away and let them finish the job. Racking up loads of kill assists and a couple of kills along the way. Easy stuff, just keep doing snap shots at the enemy and constantly moving with the squad, preferably with an L96 or M24 as the M95 isn't as good whilst standing and is more of a prone weapon. I think i got one of those teamwork ribbons getting shitloads of kill assists with the L96 not too long ago. Stupidly easy.

I disagree. Two good medics is enough. You need a support, a sniper is always useful - make him squad leader, though you could replace him with assault for the fb's/smoke nades (which are too often underestimated). AT and engi are essential for a surprise armor attack.

It depends on the people in the squad and it's purpose. Spec Ops offers C4, great for defenses and ambushes, and the carbines are deadly in the correct hands. Snipers, um, DUA, clay-whoring / Long range shooting! Assault... G3 FTW (I think 1/2 of all my assault class kills came from this gun)!!! Support = Inf. Ammo for the whole squad, plus the LMGs are great for defensive setup. Engineers use them there armor. You always want at least ONE medic, two does perfect. Anymore will help, but it would be better for other people to play other kits. Anti-Tank for anti-vehicles / Killing people such that they can't be revived (A squad of 6 medics will lose tickets to a squad of 6 AT who use their rockets!)

-Every squad should have two medics
-For better anti-infantry, you'll want Spec Ops / Assault
-For use of armor, you'll want engineers
-For anti-vehicular support / piss other team off, you'll want Anti-Tank
-For claymores, or for the sniper rifles, you'll want snipers
-For Inf Ammo, you'll want support

Simple as pie, every configurable squad has it's strengths and weaknesses, and while there's probably one that would be the best off in an average environment in BF2; you should be more dynamic then that. Changing the squad for the situation FTW!

I disagree with Sniper being squad leader. Almost every single time I have a squad leader sniping, they end up in some sort of sniper battle and then our spawn point is halfway across the map from the action. Squads should have variety in them.

1-Assault    - A good kit, imo, and the flashbang (or smoke) works, so use it
2-Support   - you need some extra bullets
3-Medic      - you need to live a little
4-Spec Ops - something to blow up?
5-Anti Tank - there will be a tank nearby
6-Anti Tank - takes long to reload between shots, so 1 shoots, the other reloads, constant rocket atack

or you could have an all sniper squad with 6 snipers, working in pairs, all on voice communication.

Well what we normally do in 5 vs 5 TWL infantry matches there is 1 squad full of medics and a commander thats either medic,support, or sniper depending on the map and the needs.
