Won't be ONE power. Russia have the capacity to become one again and are looking ominous, exerting their influence throughout Europe and central Asia. China will be one. USA will play second fiddle to China and China and Russia will be in close enough cahoots. I don't think it'll be Cold War stuff. Sadly Brazil and India just don't have the capability.
Barring a Nuclear War that leaves one "winner" I doubt there will be a sole superpower.

Id say US, EU, China, and Russia. The first 3 are pretty obvious and Russia will get to be one once they go drill for some of there oil in Siberia. Crazy Russians.

I think China . Anyways not US or EU or Muslims .
US , like every other empire , will fall some day ( please dont tell me this bullshit stuff about democratical republic , I have my own opinion on the subject and by my opinion US now is more an Empire then a republic )
EU never will be one nation ( I guess there is no reason to discuss it - different languages , culture , customs & so on ) and I dont think that EU wants to dominate like US now .
Muslims - they cannot get together because of different confessions ( suni , shiits , vahhabits & so on stuff )
Russia - it might become cool as in good old times before communism , but ... i dont think it will be as powerfull as during USSR period .
So on my opion - China .

Only the US or China have the ability to be the superpower I think at the moment, though Russia does seem to be growing much stronger. Honestly I don't think the US alone will be a superpower that far off, but I honestly think that the US is often underestimated after being a super power for such a (relativley in recent times) long time.

I think the World will be somehow different, and China could be that Superpower, but we need to know what the World would be like after a huge Apocalypse. Just in case.

I went with the "there won't be a sole superpower" option. I think the U.S., China, India, and the EU will be the superpowers 50 years from now. All of these powers will be at about even standing, but with different strengths and weaknesses.
China has a good shot at becoming the superpower, but. . . .
They have way too many people in their country. . .
Also if the USA decided to stop trading with China they would have SERIOUS economic issues!
They have basically a non existent navy, and are a land locked military, which really could only disrupt Asia not the whole world. I know I know they have balistic missles, but that is rapidly becoming a lesser threat due to successul intercepter missles being developed on our side. China has a LONG way to go as far as becoming the "sole" power. . .
I say a more cooperative EU/USA alliance that will take us into the future, that is of course we win the war on Islamic extremism/terrorism!
