I went with a Jewish friend. He pissed himself laughing.
I'm formerly jewish (Now atheist) and I thought the scene with the Jews was REALLY REALLY funny. Specifically because he IS jewish (Ali G/Sacha Baron Cohen).
Honestly, this movie shows how ignorant some people really are when it comes to Jews/Muslims.

The Bed and Breakfast/Running of the Jew was hilarious.
I can't wait to see it!!
Yea we don't get all freaked out if someone makes fun of us. But don't you dare draw a picture of mohammad.CameronPoe wrote:
This is a general warning to Americans. I just saw the Borat movie tonight. If you are sensitive towards people making your country look stupid or bad then do NOT go to see this movie. Yagshemesh!
Best Scenes: Wrestling and when 'the jews have shape shifted' and Borat tries to ward them off by throwing dollars at them!!
PS Evangelical christianity is a mental disorder. Pure and simple.
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

Sascha Baron Cohen absolutely rips it out of Jews in this movie, however it seems as though Jews are taking this with a pinch of salt and are having a laugh about it. I think that some Muslims should learn a lesson from the Jewish religion and not take such humor to heart. I am referring to the Danish cartoons about Mohammad. The Muslim reaction to this ended up with people losing their lives, c'mon lighten up fellas.
On a lighter note i saw Borat tonight, and the naked wrestling part was abso-fucking-lutely hilarious. I was crying with laughter!!! I mean 'Ten Bellys' Azamat was teabagging Borat for christs sake. It was sick but hilarious.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
The "Running of the Jews," the climax with Pam Andersen, the wrestling, the commentary and reactions of the Rodeo people...oh man. My face hurt after the movie, I was laughing way too much.
"There's the JewWife, kill its egg before it hatches!"
Borat (the character, haven't had the pleasure of seeing the movie) is one of the most intelligent creations I've seen in my life. Possibly the best exploration of rascism, intolerance and ignorance I've ever seen.
I just feel sorry for Cohen due to the anti semitism he ends up seeing while doing it. Must break the poor guy's heart.

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
I'm an american, I didn't find it offensive at all. I thought the best part was when he was at the rodeo and was talking about killing every man, woman and child in Iraq. That and when he met the 'chocolate faces' and went to the hotel to get a room... LOL!!!!! The jew part was friggin funny as hell too.CameronPoe wrote:

Borat is truly a frightening film in certain aspects, seriously. I saw parallels between what i see in radical Islam, in the U.S.A, watching that film.
However, it's still the fucking funniest film I've ever seen. It's probably really offensive to Kazakhs too, but obviously none of you give a shit about "evil satan commie terrorist soviet countries"

I thought it looked dumb but given the amount of people who seem to think it is funny (including Americans) I will probably download it tonight. I go to the movies with my family. I saw Santa Clause 3 this weekend with my little one.

Lmao remember when he goes to the gun shop
"Which gun is good for defending against the jews"
The guy actually replies with "A 9mm or a .45"
Man....we're ruining the film for everyone. If you haven't seen it you gotta watch it.

Holy shat, the wrestling scene "Eat my asshole". Oh, it was so awful I almost threw up from laughing. As offensive as it was, I laughed my ass off at "The running of the Jews". When she lays a Jew egg, wow.CameronPoe wrote:

It's all in humor, so I got a good chuckle from it.
Edit: Also, when he deives by the Uzbek Embassy, that was funny. Actually the whole damn film was insane.

I can't wait to see it, looks funnier than hell. And most American's don't get offended by being made fun of. Look at most of the popular comedians in the states, most of em are making a living by making fun of Americans, Carlos Mencia is a prime example.
i seen that video many time, and the dog never friggin attacks a jew, .RicardoBlanco wrote:

Just back from the cinema, funniest movie I seen in a long time..
I definitely plan on seeing it. Sacha Cohen is a comedic genius.
I should stop reading this thread. I haven't even seen the movie yet. When you figure the amount of films that parody other cultures, I have nothing against something that pokes fun at innately stupid Americans, so long as it isn't just dull, manufactured propaganda. But whatever the case may be, we still have South Park making fun of Canadians.
Anyone see Borat on Jay Leno last night? I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Martha Stewart is trying to teach him how to make a bed and he thinks Jay paid for Martha to have sex with him. He gets under the sheets, pulls off his tighty whiteys and waves em above his head.
Now there's an intelligent criticism. That's beneath you CPoe. By the way, I am what you would probably consider an evangelial Christian and I want to see the movie after seeing him on Jay Leno last night.CameronPoe wrote:
