OK, I've been using the keyboard I got with my old comp, but its starting to wear out now. I want to get a new one but I dunno what kind to get. I need one that has default key layout and doesn't tear up easily. Anyone have some suggestions for me?

Now, whats the difference between the G11 and the G15? Just the LCD display? I'm thinking either G11, G15, Saitek Eclipse, or Saitek Eclipse II.

Does the G15's LCD screen support BF2? If so, what does it show you?cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
G11 is missing just the LCD display, and has green lights for keyboard whilst G15 has blue. I would say go for G15 since pricing is around the sameVeNg3nCe^ wrote:

Also, right now I am using the standard dell keyboard that came with my computer. If I buy a good keyboard will I play better or is it just something nice to have.
Yes there are apps for showing bf2. I have an app it shows server ip, how many players, your rank, score, teamkills, kit, squad and your position in server.majorassult wrote:

BTW, I just noticed they have a Saitek Eclipse II.
Now I have 4 keyboards to choose from lol

g15 wins
-Pretty blue lights
-18 extra keys, three different settings for each (Can be macros, but I use them mostly to open apps on my desktop, everything I need I can start with a keystroke)
-LCD, with lots of extra apps for just about anything, the only thing missing is a good xfire app
-Media buttons, start stop volume mute next song etc

hmmm that G15 is sounding pretty good right now.
The G15, the LCD works great with Teamspeak http://www.schmads.com/software.htm

Get the G15.

The G15 owns all. There are vent apps, TS apps, and it has a BF2 one too. The lights are pretty cool as well.
The Saitek eclipse is a nice bit of kit. Very heavy build quality, nice keys, looks awesome with the lights down. Especially if you got a Saitek X52 HOTAS to glow along with it ;-)
I have been using microsofts natural internet keyboard for a long time. This is my second one. It is very conforatable, and great for gaming IMO. Not to exspensive either.

What about Razer keyboard for gaming? good bad? I am using zboard now so will a newer keyboard be better then the one i have? Thanks for any input.
Go with the G15. The Saitek uses one light to light up the keys, the G15 has individually lit keys IIRC. The Razer Tarantula is fantastic looking but it's just way too expensive.
G15 has apps for alsorts including Vent, TS, BF2 and BF2142.
IMHO G15 = teh win!

I use the ZBoard Merc, and like it very much. I had the original ZBoard with the interchangeable keysets, but with the gaming set installed it was very hard to type. I like the Merc because it has the gaming keys laid out on the left side, but the rest of the keyboard is completely standard QWERTY.

Standard IBM 101 key. It's cheap, the king of gaming, and anything else is just gimmick (besides the ZBoard, which can actually be useful...though I only use it for Photoshop and 3dsmax). I'm shocked that nobody's mentioned the 101 in this thread.VeNg3nCe^ wrote:

g15 = ram killer
a cheaper option is the logitech media keyboard elite. while you guys spend all of your money on keyboards, I spend it on proper hardware. 60 FPS @ high settings > macro keys.
Logitech media keyboard elite. Black, smooth, comfortable, and it has the media keys on the top
