GOOD PILOTS...... what is your controls for the aircraft? Sensitivity , yaw , pitch
Default settings for keyboard and mouse.
Keyboard, sensitivity 5.2
inverted mouse
Im quite sure the joystick flyers have a better idea of that sort of thing

Yes..im wondering what buttons piolets use for say, bombs and machine gun. Because at the moment i use spacebar for missiles and 0 on the num pad for machine guns and its really awkward.

::get in aircraft, move mouse, hit keyboard, crash:: , all on default
Um, throttle is the nice little tool we have on the joystick, then we have a series of buttons that I will hit randomly until something happens. If this works I will typically then hit a tree.
Heli and Jet controls for my Joystick..
I've put some of the the common controls on my stick to so i can use VOIP while flying and so i can bail / parachute easy..
Sometimes i fly the Heli Keyboard.. but mostly stick.

Keyboard: W, A, S, D, ←, ↑, →, ↓, Spacebar, Num 0. That's it. (Unless you can set sensitivity for keys...)
Where are Fly By, map, map zoom, 3d map, and scoreboard?cablecopulate wrote:

I like my setup better, better control of the joystick without reaching for the far bottons..
You should change the hat switch to views... works alot better..
and you should move your flare and afterburner to the top also..

I find it much easier to use a gamepad in BF2 than a joystick. Odd considering that besides BF2 all I play are flight simulators with my joystick.

i dont usually fly jets at all cuz i cant dogfight worth shit so usually the only time i fly is on wake if im american we have all the flags except one so that all i have to do is do bombing runs
and i use the gamepad while flying helos when i have a gunner....if i go solo then its mouse/keys so i can solo tv missle easily
Maybe a name for this joystick guys?
The joystick in the pictures is the logitech extreme 3d pro.
I don't fly that much so I'm not too worried about button placement. I've never had an instant where I couldn't reach something or thought "damn, I wish I had suchandsuch bound!"

mouse and keyboard, 5 sensitivity, 10 (max) pitch and yaw. it works very well for me.
E; get right back out.
Keyboard-only for jets; default controls + Right Shift as Cockpit view, Right Ctrl as Flyby view and Delete as Chase Front view.
you don't need more than this.
Other buttons are used for choppers
i have afterburners, flairs, weapon select, throttle and fire all on my joystick handle buttons. No real need for Keaboard when flying
lol wow Miller all this time I thought you and I would never find common ground on anything.Miller wrote:
