That, if real, is nothing short of awesome! That is some serious carnage for a sniper rifle. This kind of thing should probably be banned in modern, civilized, warfare. This weapon should put the fear of God in any badguys hoping to hide. You don't just get a wound from the round, requiring a head shot for a sure kill, you get obliterated flesh; exploding heads and torsos... sheesh!
This only adds to the frustration with BF2's version of this rounds impact on soft targets. 2 shots for a kill? I don't think so.

I recall reading an 8 page or so debate on the topic and someone was actually able to prove they were mountain goats. There was still some question as to if the video was military, or even filmed in Afghanistan. A barret .50 cal is an anti material rifle capable of penetrating several inches of steel, including a steel safe. In fact the majority of rounds fired into a safe in a military shoot of the rifle came out the rear of the safe too. Now employ that weapon against soft targets and you'll get flesh flying all over the place. You can't just think of the entry wound when you think of a gunshot. You have to think of the exit wound, and a round that large, well, it's going to make a huge exit wound if the body is still intact. If you've ever heald 5.56 or 7.62 rounds you'll be surprised by how small the actual round is, but the damage they do is catasphoric.

I haven't complained about the fact that you can't one shot kill someone, but I'll start complaining that we can't take out tanks and apc with that BEAST. xD

That IS banned from warfare. You are not supposed to shoot personal that are not behind cover. IE: It is okay to shoot a man through a concrete wall, but you can't shoot him when he's out in the open.Diogenese wrote:

And, no it SHOULD NOT BE banned! It's fricken war! We can drop 2000lb bombs that completely devistate anything it hits, but we can't shoot a man with a rifle?!
We can use tanks, Stryker vehicles (which are armed with a 25mm cannon mind you, that's just over an inch in diameter) and attack choppers on infantry...but not a rifle.
Heh, we can circle a spot 10 miles away with an Ac-130 gunship and shoot people that are so far away, they can't even hear the shots.
But... we can't shoot people with a rifle.
So, do you see how it should be allowed?
