Well I guess my first thread was deleted due to lack of content, so I figure I'll make a new one and talk a bit more.
Well lets see where do I start, well... lets start with some background info. I played alot of BF1942 back in the day under the same alias as I use now and I quickly became addicted to Desert Combat. Since then, the concept of BF1942 gameplay with modern weapons kept me tracking the progress of BF2 until the release of the demo. I was instantly hooked and bought the game the day it came out. Ever since I've been playing bf2 for an average of 2 hours or so a day and perfecting my aim and infantry skills. Due to lack of planes and intense close quarter battles, Karkand naturally became my addiction. Once I unlocked the L85 rifle for the medic kit, I knew I had found the perfect gun. When I first started using it I realized that it was a beast but it had to be tamed. While many others gave up on it, I practiced with it exclusively until I knew where almost all of my shots were landing. I then mastered bursting the rifle unzoomed and quickly began dominating in almost every close quarter confrontation.
The server I had always frequented was a 64 player karkand only server that had teambalance off. Most of the time everyone would switch to USMC at the beginning of the round and completely stomp MEC. I loved being the underdog and seeing how many gold medals I could get being on a team that was outnumbered sometimes as bad as 40 to 20. Ever since then I kind of adopted passionate hate for the USMC team on Karkand, and have played pretty much exclusively MEC every round. Another thing that I loved about MEC was that if you were good enough on the ground, you could make your way up the left side hill towards the USMC uncap and take sweet revenge for the rape you often have to put up with when spawning at the Hotel. I soon began specializing in this tactic as well and soon had squadloads of very skilled infantry men who would die to revive me. My squad, named DMT, would win best squad almost every round with ridiculous scores such as upper 300's. Our hill strategy, when it worked, lead to complete lockdown of USMC spawns at the very start of the round and the rounds often ended in embarrassing defeats for USMC. Many times our squad singlehandedly fought off a good majority of the other team and even crushed tanks and APC's sent specifically for our destruction.
My style of play has enabled me to rely primarily on my rifle and aim which has earned me the top rank overall for Assault rifles and third rank for Medic class. While I know I'm not the best infantry player there is, I'm proud of being one of the few high ranked players that doesn't use macros, exploits, or plays 4 plus hours a day. I feel that in some way, my presence on top redeems the integrity of the stat system and proves that rank can correlate with skill.
Now to leave you with a bit of more content here's an older video I made to demonstrate that the L85 can be used in close quarters:

and here are my stats:

Thanks for reading, and if you are a good shot with a rifle and a versatile player, you are welcome to join squad DMT any day.
