And these posts are still open:

I guess having an old open thread, is nothing compared to voicing your opionion. If your trying to save space on the server or through the forum softaware, then closing new threads isn't the answer, try closing the old threads that people don't even see. Maybe thats a logical action.......And there is some threads still open under other memebers that are older then mine.

Try closing threads older then three months, then the new ones. I dont spend my time putting a thread up just for my good looks, I do it because its my opionion, and this is Amercia. Not for some little kid who has moderator balls to close a thread. MODEDIT: name them again in public forums and get ready for a nice 3days vacation, read the rules of THIS site

BF2S has a forum, and does stats, for a reason not for some moderator who thinks his you know what doesn't stink. Get a life and start closing old threads not new ones. People care about whats being said now not 6 months a ago.

Liquidat0r closed your first thread telling you to use the search feature. I can understand using the search feature when you have a question to ask, but I would imagine it would be EXTREMELY difficult to find that video through the search feature. Hell, look at the replies to the post. Pretty much everyone had NEVER seen it before and thought the video was hilarious. Why the fuck would you lock that!?

These forums are overmoderated.

FYI, unless it's a commonly asked question, locking a thread because "it's been discussed before" is one of the most jackass'd things I've seen here. A forum is a meant for discussion. Sure certain similar topics will arise...THAT'S HOW FORUMS WORK. You might as well lock every thread here like triggerhappy and using google as the reason.

lol ? only last week, when Trigger left, everybody was complaining that the spamming was getting out of hand. I have had tons of complaints that mods should be more active in closing spam threads and removing unnecessary content.

well, I guess you can't make everybody happy. Someone will always complain...

I heard someone say this earlier: There are 29 moderators/admins to the whole bf2s forum population. If something remains open and it shouldn't be, either report it or notify a mod in a peaceful fashion. They can't see everything, but they do the best they can. Making a thread about the fact that it isn't fair how so and so got to keep their thread but you didn't doesn't do anything other than make some people think less of you for taking care of the problem unprofessionally.

No. It's the internet.

There's actually a very big difference.

also, some threads will just die down naturally ( because no one cares ) and will fade away without a mod even noticing they were there in the first place. I believe that's what happened to the three threads from april  you mentioned.

Others may be more up-to-date, but may still be spam or unnecessary content / double-posting and are therefore closed or removed by a mod.

So it has nothing to do with when a thread was posted. It is solely about content. When a topic is through, the thread will either die down naturally or be closed by a mod if the spam gets to excessive. Why ? Because people here ( in any forum, really ) tend to keep posting even if the topic has been discussed ad nauseum, leading to spam and waste of time/bandwith.

This is certainly no personal vendetta against you or your posts.

Can I close this now ?

Free speech doesn't apply here, noob. This is a private forum, not a public one run by the government.

Doesn't calling him a "complaining noob" constitute a personal attack, or "flame"?

j/k, the mods here are pretty much under pressure to spot everything. They are human, they will miss stuff. That's what the report button is for, to bring something which is blatantly wrong to their attention.

I for one think they do a good job in policing the forums and keeping stuff under control. I do, however, agree with Pollux on the first thread that was closed. Most of the replies had not seen the video before and so it wasn't jsut repeated spam, it was bringing something new to a lot of people.

+1 for you Fancy!

We mods are indeed human, and so of course mistakes are sometimes made. But if you have a problem with a mod's action, then use the report link to get someone else (hopefully) to take a look at it. If nothing comes of that and you still think the mod fucked up, then talk to chuy.

Anyway, I forgot that the forums are not the place to complain about mod actions, so you can add this thread to your list of closed ones. As I said, take it up with chuy if you think the mods did something wrong.

The funiest thing is, that you instead of acting mature, like many people do ie. asking why the topic closed, you decide to become immature and spam the forums with it.
