Wow, I just did what I said I would do and the internet goes much faster. It looks like integrated sucks for EVERYTHING except the ports that aren't made on a PCI card.

Initial test and a little bit of computer knowledge would tell you it does. For example the Nforce4 chipset has the ability to take some of stack and calls away from the CPU and process it on-chip, this is the same thing on a much larger scale. Its just common sense, you offload the processor it has more free cycles to handle something else.Kmarion wrote:

Also windows limits the tcp/ip stack to keep it from creating too much overhead. Allow larger packet sizes, quicker response ect.... you get a faster more consistent connection, QOS on the card prioritizes gaming packets and if you were to reasearch it you can do much more such as downloading large files without affecting your gaming, ect.
Its a new take on an old concept, and obviously there is a market for them or they wouldnt have been able to raise the capital to build the project up.
