Thought there might be some intrest in this. http://www.killernic.com/KillerNic/ I dont know if it will really help, but just letting you all know about it.
oooooooooh
I never thought they would actually try to sell a gamers ethernet card, lmao. Speaking of which, I still have a dial-up card in this thing, maybe I should replace it with one of the ethernet cards in the garage.
wow an ethernet card for gamers : \ i dont think it will really make a difference
OOOOOOO shiny.
OMG, i want it... someone leave you door unlocked.
O and if you can unplug ur TV now that would be nice.

Wow, I just did what I said I would do and the internet goes much faster. It looks like integrated sucks for EVERYTHING except the ports that aren't made on a PCI card.
i will not trust that:D
For what its worth heres a review. http://gear.ign.com/articles/729/729557p1.html
I just want that kool looking K heatsink or whatever it is. Not usre I would drop $279.99 for a "slightly" faster connection, probably wouldnt do that much better than what I have now.

Initial test and a little bit of computer knowledge would tell you it does. For example the Nforce4 chipset has the ability to take some of stack and calls away from the CPU and process it on-chip, this is the same thing on a much larger scale. Its just common sense, you offload the processor it has more free cycles to handle something else.Kmarion wrote:

Also windows limits the tcp/ip stack to keep it from creating too much overhead. Allow larger packet sizes, quicker response ect.... you get a faster more consistent connection, QOS on the card prioritizes gaming packets and if you were to reasearch it you can do much more such as downloading large files without affecting your gaming, ect.
Its a new take on an old concept, and obviously there is a market for them or they wouldnt have been able to raise the capital to build the project up.
LOL $300 for what , a few extra fps, a few lower numbers on ping?! My 20 ping is fine thanks.
They need this shit for dial up users if there are any left.

By doesn't i meant it doesn't make a 300 dollar difference.Intheshadows wrote:

I'd invest here http://www.techreport.com/reviews/2006q … dex.x?pg=1 first.
