incoming bf2142 and bf2 bugs

between 24-30 was the campus party of valencia(a geek event) so ea and blizzard showed burning crusade and bf2142 in movement.
they show an advanced beta of bf2142 and didnt awnsered questions about repairing bugs
im gonna sum up some things they told.
only 4 classes(but customizable) i think it were sniper, at, assault(can heal), and engy or support
chopper and plane will be one type
parachute now is a capsule
the invisivility of sniper is like predator film and u cant shot with it
the apc can thow people to the titan
the titan is a big base flying 2k meters of the groung and can be destroyed by c4 in main engine
there will be hover tanks and normal ones(the hover ones can move in all directions)
mechs are overpowered and require a lot to kill them also have energy shields
buggys have NOS
maps are big(a 64 map like zatar were played by 32 players)
if u kill a player with knife u get his tag(useless)
requires bf2 at max to run bf2142 at low
apc,captured points,squad leaders,titan.... are spawnpoints so there are a lot of rhem
told by EA the game is more for fun than clan battles
they removed cartillery
more thing that i dont remember but i will post later

if you can run bf2 on medium you should be able to run 2142 on medium ( so say the guys at gamespot)

i only have a ATI x600 and a gig of ram i i reckon i Will be able to run it fine!!!

EDIT... also i watched a in game vid on you tube and two guys took out a mech really quickly, it was owning and then one guy threw an emp grenade, about three secs later the mec was dead no shields and spec opps placed c7 right between its legs BOOM no more mech. that doesnt sound that over powerful to me.

a squad of 2 people can take down a Mech with ease.

i too have been playing the Beta. (until it gave me a fatal runtime error)

the game is very, VERY focused on teamwork, which is what i love about it.

did you fly the Talon? that thing is fucking sweet!

Noooo, let them use the same reqs, they would be stupid if they changed it since most PC's won't meet those reqs, other wise it sounds like cool game.

I've heard most of this before but...
Those map sizes are TOO big. I think that BF2142 will be too heavily vehicle orientated and will destroy the infantry aspect of which the Battlefield series has it's foundations. This seems to me to be a sad day for Battlefield. Also, imagine all of the idiots who hide away in their Mechs for round, after round, after round, after...

any different than people who hide in tanks, planes, helos, jeeps?

actually not useless, it records in your stats, and a bragging chip for the future

he played bf2142 on a asus laptop with ati x1600 512mb ram, dual core , 1gb ram (second hand 1800€)... on low

Open beta starts this month for 50,000 people is what I am being told.

Also EA/Dice has stated more than once that the game has the same run requirments as BF2. So anyone in now needs to remember it's still beta. It's statements like that, that make companies have beta testers accept an NDA. It's not very fair to bad mouth an unfinished product.

One more thing. All PC games have bugs. ALL PC GAMES. Find me a PC game that doesn't and I will give you a cookie. So anyone saying they aren't going to play 2142 because of BF2 bugs should just stop playing games all together. PC are not consoles. They all have many varying setting, reg, and bios. So until all PCs are exactly the same like a brand on consoles get used to bugs.

I don't post much anymore and this is not directed towards any idividual. Just a general response to this and similar topics I have seen in the past few day
