Some of the best shots I've seen usually consist of taking down planes, though there was one really good one with the chopper right above a tank, angled completely nose down and spinning, and the gunner taking out the tank.

Meh, I have taken down bunch of planes with head-on TVing.
You ask me they're a load of bollox if not in combat, wtf is so difficult and amazing about setting up a shot and filming it?
I've stuck shots through tree trunks, and between railings when I can only see a fraction of a tank, whilst my pilot goes through evasive manouvers halfway across a map. Other shots I cant even see the vehicle, but for seeing the tracer.
And I didn't think it too hard, or too many.
Oh and all seat switchers are POOFS!
Edit: And now, lately Ive taken to blattering planes nose on, and I aint the only one to do it.

The problem with those shots is there is no combat going on. They weren't taken in the middle of battle, they had no AA's to worry about, no planes, no nothing.
They had time to set up and try it again and again until they got it right. Now if it were in the middle of combat then that would be a different story.
