Its funny how threatening everyone that their social media will be scanned for wrong opinions and they will be cancelled or denied entry at the border may well mean the end of Loserbook and TPFKAT.

You'd think Musk and Zuckerberg would be pushing back on that a bit.

I use TikTok a lot more now. There's a lot of videos of graduation drama. Like graduating students acting up on stage, people refusing handshakes, etc.

I have a solution. We cancel all graduation ceremonies. You pick up your diploma during the summer and nobody becomes a social media meme. Maybe we shouldn't even do paper diplomas. High School diplomas aren't worth the paper they are printed on. We shouldn't waste the paper.

i feel like stuffy high school graduations are already more for attending adults than they are for the students. like pirana said, parents feel entitled to this stuff. i support teens' drive to claim the graduation for themselves. american kids, for instance, were brought into the world and forced to weather school shootings, assault, bullshit social drama with psychotic shitstains (with students too, not just teachers), mass disease, ReSoUrCe OfFiCeRs, bathroom passes, and getting up at 5 am to go stand in the freezing fog. let them have this.

very funny hellraiser stuff: transvestigator Men-of-the-West are morally outraged that one of the VAs for a side boss (six arms and a bunch of spikes in her head by the way, i looked it up) is trans, and are complaining and announcing boycotts due to that specific degeneracy (in their mind). nevermind the deviant, barkerian bloodbath of apparently the rest of the game from beginning to end. we've had like a half century of barker to clue us in on what he's all about. i can't take the "it's everywhere now, can't we just go back to how horror used to be" stuff seriously in a fictional space up to its armpits in leather daddies from hell since before the berlin wall fell.

i do have the original film on dvd. i don't have this game. i don't have a horse in this race. secretly-gaydar getting some pretty heavy pings from referred comments sections, though. manosphere slang is fruitier than the gayest pride parade.

there is very real systemic racism in the k-pop industry, as well as in korean society more generally. it is problematic for a music industry which still bans black people from live venues and clubs to then encourage the use of the n-bomb in rehearsals or demo tapes or whatever.

ironically the most famous member of that group is thai, and koreans are themselves pretty fucking racist towards 'inferior' south-east asians. and of course, you can't hold (often times teenaged) performers wholly responsible for things like that. but it does shine a light on a very toxic aspect of korea's increasingly globally influential music industry.

it's also just simply wholly unnecessary. radio edits routinely expurgate explicit content and swear words like that even from the original rap songs. it's a long-established practice in the industry. there's no need for koreans to repeat that stuff while doing stupid jingle dances to sell merch to 14 years olds.

I remember this one doofus teacher/dean from a charter school in Newark. When he heard the students say the word among themselves he would tell them "if I can't say the word, you can't either." I instead tell them the word isn't something people like Obama would use and they shouldn't either.

We have the same thing here with white people who like rap music, terminology, etc. but don't like black people. They aren't playing heavy metal in frat parties or choosing Texas while snorting ketamine.
