Thats cute and shit, but its not Australia thats endlessly harking back to the time when people owned slaves as being better than now.

I mean yeah it was, but Australia looks forwards, Vorwärts immer, rückwärts nimmer!

Trump suggests canceling music performances at the ‘Great American State Fair’ after several artists back out
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald … wtab-en-us

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrum … 7963376218

I understand Artists are getting “the yips” having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate “Artists,” and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President! Two years ago, the United States was DEAD. Now we have the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World. I don’t want so-called “Artists” that get paid far too much money, who aren’t happy. I only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN. So, by copy of this TRUTH, I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally on Wednesday, Washington, D.C., same time, same location. Only Great Patriots invited — It will be a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America! President DONALD J. TRUMP
there is too much to unpack here.

but did i really just see an 80-year-old call himself The Goat. even setting aside the rape and the shameless liquidation of america's value, this is the kind of cringe that curdles milk.

LMAO "artists are paid too much" says the guy who wants a giant fucking ballroom bunker among too much more hypocritical shit to even list in a single post.

"only great patriots invited" h- fucking shit

OK, but Australia has moved on.

While America is still reminiscing about the smell of its shit of 250 years ago Australia has been quite progressive and not backward looking.
For example, not only have we stopped beating up gays our annual moustache parade is the envy of the world.

has it? scott morrison denied its existence altogether. why the need for the chronic whitewashing of the history of slavery in australia?

this is more living memory stuff. stolen generations for the purposes of everything from industrial to household labor to sex work. institutional wage theft, and state-sanctioned low-agency labor. humans treated like a subclass, fed literal scraps. cartoon villain stuff.

it's very curious that (despite people's insistence that slavery is extinct) human rights legislation into the 20th & 21st century keeps addressing slavery and human trafficking.

chud a: "slavery is over! racism is a myth! it was so long ago! water under the bridge, right? why are people still mad? how long do we have to apologize for? if they don't like the country, they can leave." blah blah blah, waaaah black history got a whole month! wokeness in schools! yada yada yada.
also chud a: *kidnapping on the news* "if someone did that to MY family member, here is all the deeply unpleasant things i'd do to them."
also chud a: *bends your ear ad nauseam about dubious irish need not apply signs, painting colorful pictures of the injustices done to THEIR ancestors.* me biting the inside of my cheek holding in a "wow, you must really hate this country."

probably less public consideration than you think is given to this 250 stuff. slide by unnoticed by a bulk of americans but for hot dog sales or something. same annual excuse to blow up some fireworks. trump of course will self-promote like he invented america. i imagine a 250 under harris would be far less embarrassing.

"america's anniversary" is justifiably unimportant in daily lives. toxic marriage anyway. a one-way relationship where value is extracted from most citizens (and foreign laborers) and given to the ultra rich.

look at this shit: https://america250.org/

scroll down and it's just a bunch of fucking company names.

it's curious that all the anglo countries specifically have similar structural problems. mostly boomer-coded, e.g. rampant property prices and stagnant social mobility. plenty of other countries in the world have no problem with simply building more homes to accommodate changes in population or demand. the anglo countries all share the same neurotic attachment to house prices going zoom forever so that some mythical financial security deriving from an infinitely appreciable asset comes into view.

this is what america used to do.

i'm probably belaboring this point but there's a lot of rich and influential concerns with a great deal of money tied up in 'disciplined development' far in excess of mom & pop's privately owned six-figure rambler they're downsizing from. i'm not sure what our countries can or will do with our current power structure to address this on broad scale, but i'm seeing more mood sway sympathetic towards violent upheaval. luigi became an instant folk hero for allegedly murdering an insurance ceo. lots of sympathy went towards the molotov person and the toilet paper warehouse arsonist. grim satisfaction displayed towards ceos tweeting about how they don't feel safe.

surely more top-down controls against price gouging on all fronts are needed. fair wages, fair prices, no tumorous real estate superpowers controlling all the construction and development. break the billionaire clots and get that economic blood pumping again!

we could even swing a few goose sanctuaries

e:
msm chastised the public for cheering the ceo's death. but how many of these happen every day:

Veteran Firefighter Dies of Lung Cancer After Being Denied Insurance Coverage for Treatment: ‘It’s So Cruel’
“I believe, wholeheartedly, that they expedited his death,” said former San Francisco Fire Department chief Jeanine Nicholson of her colleague's tragic ordeal

Setting that toilet paper warehouse on fire destroyed a lot of people's jobs. If we are going the violence route we need more Mario brothers and not fire bugs.

...

I would like to see Musk and a few others get boomed.

The issue I have with the violent anti corporate stuff is that it ignores the fact that there are still many people in the lower classes who don't have the civic virtue necessary to build a nice society after all of the billionaires are killed. There are many people who worship Musk and his actions that need to be addressed.

just to clarify, i don't actually think it's a great idea to go pyro on your workplace. but the reactions to it i've seen are far more in support than they'd have been in the 90s, i think. more violence in general would suck for a lot of people and kill a lot of innocents. but rich people are already immiserating and doing violence to the poors wholesale. not exactly the picture of innocence. these guillotine memes didn't just come out of nowhere.

there is probably some alternate reality where that toilet paper warehouse wasn't attacked, but still burnt down in a fire. only with people trapped inside where they burnt to death.

there are still many people in the lower classes who don't have the civic virtue necessary to build a nice society after all of the billionaires are killed.
that was true when houses were being built and people could afford one.

The housing stuff is a problem on so many levels. "Civic servants" can't put roots down in the places they work. A teacher who lives in PA because that is all they can afford will not have the same level of community involvement as a person who lives in the community they serve.

We need more people to have a stake in their community. And by not providing a realistic home ownership ladder we are preventing community development.

...

To Uzique's point about English speaking countries...I can see where Dilbert's 'the Jews are genociding us' can come from in that regard. We are genuinely preventing community formation. Who benefits from that?

take a look at the golden age of homebuilding and new communities popping up and then find out what happened to all the contractors and construction companies. meanwhile the right will have you blame democrat taxes and the communists.

Europeans generally don't want to live in one heaving, sweating mass, they like space and peace and quiet, not everything turned into 100 floor Mega-City  high-rises.
Britain did not have the farmland to feed itself in WW2, unlimited growth is not sustainable.
