Well, since I don't want to spoil it for Ken:War Man wrote:
What did I miss? The movie deliberately had scenes that spelled out where this is going when showing scenes of Ryan Gosling's character flashing back his memories. The entire storyline was dull(and the sequel hook, meh) and I was bored throughout the film. I wanted to like this movie... but I can't.Dilbert_X wrote:
There's a whole level of the film you wouldn't have noticed.
Thats the question the series is asking, similar to Blade Runner, what is consciousness?SuperJail Warden wrote:
Anyone watching Westworld right now? Anyone think the whole storyline introduced last night is dumb?

i'm just taking the piss. I don't particularly enjoy reading (or watching) fantasy or sci-fi stuff in general, so most of my exposure to the genre is from one of my older brothers. He would re-read the same novels every year, and then add the latest release to his list. These types of books tend to have >10 in a series, and seemingly go on forever.DesertFox- wrote:
I am confused why you are saying the genre means there won't be a conclusion. I understand why HBO could want to do that, and I could see some spin-off in that universe coming into being, but it seems very unlikely for them to Marvel it.
