Yep, that's a true FWP right there.coke wrote:

That is what I ended up having to use. Thanks, j numbers._j5689_ wrote:

gaslamp. and thanks but the gf has planned about 14 things to do in the 4 days we're there not including the wedding and rehearsal. and we're not even getting a car. hotel and wedding are on the same block and we're a few miles from the zoo so everything will be on foot or short cab ride away.
any suggestions on what to do if (we wont but still) we have a spare half-day?

I think we're setting aside almost an entire day for the zoo + surrounding parks/areas. And yeah she's not into a whole lot of that stuff but I'm going to try and see some of the museums.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
Balboa Park in general is pretty sweet. They have a pretty cool Air and Space museum that has one of the Apollo lunar modules in it. The Fleet Science museum is a pretty cool interactive spot.
That's what I hear. Evidently this trip will include a lot of drinking. Luckily I get paid the day I leave.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
Gas Lamp is a cool spot to go out to bars and shit, and yeah, everything there is within walking distance.
yeah we weren't planning to go, not really our scene.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
Avoid Sea World at all costs.
I've heard there aren't really any beaches to hang out at unless you go north of the city. I was hoping for a bit of beach/swim time but I doubt we'll have that kind of transportation.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
If you have time and can get transportation, La Jolla is a pretty cool spot. I was just down there with a lady friend and we went kayaking by the sea caves and rented some stand up paddleboards, but it's not doable if you don't have at least a half a day and transportation. The beach in general there is pretty nice, but so are most of the beaches in SD.
Good idea! Thanks I'll try and fit this in.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
The USS Midway is also not too far. It's a pretty cool museum too.
