if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.

can't deny them that. they have their own children - they get to fuck them up if they choose so. still wouldn't allow them to do any public promotion of their condition though.BVC wrote:
So what about those gay couples who choose to use surrogate mothers or (lesbians) have IVF treatment?Shahter wrote:
their condition severely affects psychological and behavioral aspects of their reproductive function. in cases when that happens with other biological functions - like already mentioned color blindness or flat feet - that usually means it's an impairment. what's so special about homosexuality that it shouldn't be treated the same way?
by bringing up surrogate mothers and ivf - ways to compensate for inability to do certain stuff - you have just agreed with me that homosexuality is an impairment."Impairment" refers to ability, not desire.

Are people impaired that had bad childhoods and don't want to have kids? What about people who just don't like kids and don't want any of their own?Shahter wrote:

All that it means is that gay couples can't have children with each other. Theres no negative impact on society there, and when they do decide to go surrogate/IVF/adoption, its 100% planned and thus they can manage the impact of a child on their lives/family/society better. I'm not really sure I'd call that an impairment.Shahter wrote:

depends on if those people have developed any actual psychosis which is considered a pathology.Jay wrote:

what about them? it's their personal matter if they want children or not and as long as they do not go out and start preaching their dislike of children to others i don't see a problem. What about people who just don't like kids and don't want any of their own?
just as in the case of infertile heterosexual couples - which is considered an impairment, no?BVC wrote:

regardless of any of this, when people have to use artificial stuff to compensate for their inability to make use of one of their biological functions i call that an impairment.Theres no negative impact on society there, and when they do decide to go surrogate/IVF/adoption, its 100% planned and thus they can manage the impact of a child on their lives/family/society better. what does that have to do with anything we discuss here? i never said that homosexuality needs to be "cured", i simply said if should not be promoted. as does the new law everybody's been going "zomg! abuse!" about.Somewhat related, look at what this priest did to try and cure boys of homosexuality:

If you can't be bothered reading, he literally tried to rid boys of homosexuality by raping them.
In many senses yes.Jay wrote:
