Predictable, never really went where I wanted it to go, paradox issues all over the place that broke their own not-really-defined "rules." Reminded me of Frequency a lot, but I liked Frequency more.

The Dark Knight Rises - 7/10
Not the best in the trilogy, but still better than any of the attempts that came out before this trilogy. Not sure why everyone was knocking it so hard; it did drag in places, but was still quite enjoyable. It was kind of hard to understand what Bane was saying, but otherwise...Anne Hathaway was hotter than three yards of hell.

Not a huge fan of Japanese animation, but this is one of the better ones I've seen. I think a lot of the meaning (however much is meant to be in Japanamation) was lost on me due to the culture divide. I don't see why everyone loves No Face so much.

I don't know if I have ever given a movie on here a 10... There are only one or two 10s I can think of, period... I don't know if I have given out more than a couple of 9s. I expected it to be about an 8, otherwise I wouldn't have paid to see it in theaters. It fell below my expectations. I wouldn't call it "bad" though. I thought it was funny. The Thor/iron man fight scene was unnecessary and dumb but I enjoyed it overall. I didn't regret watching it like I do most movies. Was it a classic? No, of course not, but it was prob the best superhero movie so far (not including dark knight).jord wrote:

Just saw Looper, I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
Not sure why they chose a really really little kid that couldn't have been older than 6 to play a 10 year old but I have to admit he was really good for such a young kid. Most of the time, little kids in movies just seem play the same role as a trained zoo animal that can do one little thing that makes people think "How cute" like a seal blowing a kiss or some other shit like that; most little kids just monotonically say one or two little cutesie lines that are intentionally meant to sound like something that was surprisingly witty of them to say for their age that they memorized for the movie, the meaning of which they clearly don't understand by how they say it so dryly, in order to make equally dumb (and typically old) people go "awwwwwwww isn't that cute". I can't stand that kind of shit.
But this little kid really sold it, when he was pissed, you could feel pissed with him and it sounded like he actually understood what he was talking about when he said smart things. He did a really good job
