I had another feedback talk with my boss.
I'm still on that 50/50 line of getting into the selection program for the promotion. Right now I do my job and I do it well, but instead of the 100% i'm doing right now they wany me to really put int the extra effort and doing 110%.
I see where they're coming from with all this and i know how to do it (it's hard work though), but still, I've seen people that already have the function perform worse than i do.
Even though i understand the situation and what they want form me, I can;t help but have the feeling that they're stil using this promotion as a carrot on a stick to keep me there for as long as possible. It's not like i would've quit if they had said no form the start and even if i dont make it at the last moment i'll still stay. but if i find any evidence that they've been using me and wasted my time with all this i will quit right there on the spot. Thinking of the possibilty alone sickens me, but it wouldn't surprise me.
e: i should add that prep work for the teamleader selection means that right now i'm already doing the work of said function 50-75% of the time, but not for the additional pay of course.
