That's nice. Germany pays $0.36 per kwh. We pay $0.098 per kwh. You can feel better about contributing nothing to the overall environment (because China offsets your savings) while I enjoy paying a little more than 25% of what you pay for energy.

I pay 0.09668 €/kWh at my local power station.
http://www.ewg.at/de/energieversorgung/ … odukte.pdf

And for 0.010164 €/kWh I can switch to completely CO2-free (hydro, solar, wind) electricity
http://www.ewg.at/de/energieversorgung/ … styria.pdf
I can feel better and not pay that much.

I wished that our house would have long distance heating, then we wouldn't need natural gas for that.

I don't watch that much Asian porn anymore. Since I am surrounded by Asian girls at school who are just not interested, Asian porn depresses me.

Michael Bay is making the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aliens in his "remake".

I hope this guy dies in a fiery plane crash before he sodomizes another small piece of my childhood.

I'm guessing G.I. Joe would be better under Michael Bay. I loved that as a kid, too, but at least that style seems to be right up his shitty filmmaker's alley...

You can not have more than a fraction of your energy sources coming from renewables. Please stop believing Green propaganda. ktnxbai.
Austria's energy production:
38.6% renewable energies (mostly biomass)
29.9% hydro power
17.2% natural gas
11.7% oil
2.6% coal

That's 68.5% of renewable energy.

I hate to be a total penisface, but globefish left out one pretty important thing. Energy production =/= energy consumption, I.e. imports weren't mentioned.

Example Austria 2004 (Because the EU doesn't seem to update their shit): http://ec.europa.eu/energy/energy_polic … _at_en.pdf

https://i.imgur.com/0cGYc.jpg

So still, what Jay claimed (that renewables can only be a fraction) is incorrect, but as 68,5 % (71 in the pie chart) suddenly became 21 %, j'accuse you of propaganda!

Meanwhile in Finland, the situation is about the same, only that a big part of the oil consumption is replaced with nuclear.

Nope, I didn't leave that out, Dilbert just didn't fully quote my post:

globefish23 wrote:

Of the total energy consumption, which also includes oil and gas imports, it's 22,8% renewable energy consumed in Austria.
Hardly a fraction.
My point still stands, those 22.8% of renewable energy are not a fraction as Jay put it.
