My wife is an awesome cook but procrastinates... So now that I am hungry for lunch, she has to go do her grocery shopping before she can make anything, instead of doing it on payday like normal, 10 days ago. So instead of my normal lunch time of 11:30am, I have to starve like a third world person for 3 or 4 whole hours. So this is like a 3WP... Cause I am sure my waiting for three hours for lunch while waiting TV and playing on the laptop is EXACTLY like Slumdog Africa or something.
bake some bread. takes about 45 minutes, and then you get to make a nice pb&j sandwichHITNRUNXX wrote:

It is bad, lol.... She buys enough groceries for 2 weeks only (although I protest and think we should have a "just in case" stock)... It has been over 3 weeks now, so the last couple meals were "What can I make out of 1 egg, an onion, and 3 tortilla chips?"
That's just weird man. I've never been in a house that didn't have a pantry with flour and rice and oatmeal and cans of beans and other crap in it. There's always some peanut butter and jelly floating around too

What is weird, is she still pulls off some weird 3 course gourmet meal that tastes like heaven wrapped inside bacon.
But no, it normally isn't so bad... 1 kid had strep this last week and another had a stomach flu, and I was on special assignment at work, so shopping got delayed. On top of that, the kids and I just got diagnosed with celiac disease a few weeks ago, and so we are in the process of changing our pantry over to gluten free stuff...

If she comes home with a 20 lbs bag of flour, you may want to apologize for something.HITNRUNXX wrote:

hey hitnrun, get your wife to pick up some non-perishables and keep them in the pantry. Perfect for quick meals when there's no food.

My secure life in a warm apartment bores me so I drink wine, eat cheese on bread and yell at tiny men on my computer screen.
