4. No my opinion is not invalid. I just finished watching all 6 episodes back to back, and they are all, bar episode one, fine movies. Hell, episode IV through VI dont even have individual story arcs, much the same as I through III, I don't get what the hate is about. Like I said before, the only nigling hate I have of the first three episodes is that there are a few lore changes leading into the last three episodes.
SW 4-6 are not some of the best movies ever made. Period. I am a big SW fan, but I'm not a fanboy. Ground breaking in their time? Sure (Some of those computer generated animals are amazing, even by todays standards, let alone a movie made in '77.) But best movies ever made? Far from it.
2. The Star Wars "galaxy" does not exist outside of episodes 4 through 6. It is the only real "canon". Everything else, is third party books, comics, video games, etc. and of course episodes 1 through 3. Which don't count. I know my Star Wars too.

I do know how SW is great, if I didn't I wouldn't enjoy it so much and be able to sit through half a day of the saga in one sitting. You just seem to be butt mad over episodes 1-3 and so think anything before the glorious ep 4 must be shit.

It's all about the perpetual income, and this way they won't have to make such a sophisticated story either.
And I think the biggest success factor for this game is that it arrived pretty much right on the heels of the death of Star Wars: Galaxies midway through December, so I'd imagine a very good portion of that gigantic Star Wars MMO userbase are coming right over to this game if they didn't already just move on to WoW or Eve instead.

First, you can't pay with Paypal.
Second, I have to sit and wait for hours now for their confirmation mail that I bought the game and can now DL it...
And I can't know for sure that it's done since it was via Visa and not Paypal. With Paypal, you get Paypal's confirmation that they took your money, which makes me think that they indeed took my money but I have to wait for their response from their POS platform...
