I barely notice it on 1440x900, and it really does disappear quickly, half the time I miss what was typed.

Naturn what FPS do you get while recording? When I recorded in the beta I did 1280x720 fullscreen (cause I cannot play windowed, too small) and I got around 30 max.

Yeah the chatbox doesn't scale with screen resolution, it stays constant.

Its barely noticeable at 1920x1200 (I've actually had to type something to get it to reappear when I've missed someone talking to me)

I record at 60FPS. Fraps is funny because if you set your record FPS too low it will cause the game to lag and the same if its too high.

I'll check it out at some point, I need a better CPU cooler to OC my CPU so I can record properly. As is I get too low FPS to do much.

The Video...

The video was alright. I've seen better. But, I did like the effort with some of the transitions though. Using the fast turn motion of the guy to use as a transition. But, if he really wants to impress someone it needs to be the whole scope of Battlefield 3, not just CQC combat with a small kill streak from behind the players. Some of the sniper shots were good though. Jet gameplay goes a long way too. I personally like to see lots of jet gameplay.

Also, my guess is that he used x264 for the codec.(If not lol @ me.) Which, I find to be the best. But, I don't ever encode in that because most of my videos are just gameplay videos. I use something I picked up from Finray with a little bit of my own tweaking.(Click Here) Its WMV version 9 with highest quality audio setting. I using a VBR between 10 and 20Mbits per second at 30FPS. I record at 60FPS so I have a few extra frames to play with and it allows me to play without lag.

Only got one thing to say: Render at your source frame rate. That video looks and feels like you captured at 30 and rendered at like 27.
