I'm hoping for a Special Forces expansion with all the BF2:SF maps and vehicles ect.

The only difference between the two weapons is that one is fully auto and the other is burst. Aside from that, they are identical. I would expect the same performance from each, with the A4 being much less accurate in full auto mode.FatherTed wrote:

I'm hoping that the M16A4 is the starting weapon. I really enjoy how faction-specific weapons shape the game. One the one hand, you'll have the USMC with accurate M16A4s that are better suited in longer range combat, and the Russians with medium range inaccurate AKs.
It won't be that way though most likely.
I wonder what the difference between the A3 and A4 will be besides being full auto vs burst. Maybe the A3 is less accurate or does less damage? How would you guys have differentiated the two, or would you have even implemented an A3 if it were up to you?
I think sh1fty was talking about in game balancing as opposed to IRL...Jay wrote:

Isn't the A3 the full auto one?Jay wrote:

and why is that?Roc18 wrote:
This is gonna be Bad Company 3 basically.
It looks and plays just like Bad Company 2. It's on virtually the same engine. I'm not saying that's a bad thing though, it just doesn't feel like a true successor to what Battlefield 2 was.aerodynamic wrote:

when i played the alpha it played nothing like bc2.Roc18 wrote:

k, when i played the alpha it looked like an improved Bad Company 2. 3d spotting, same gun sounds, similar squad system, rush mode, no commander and like i said earlier it's on the Frostbite engine just like BC2.aerodynamic wrote:

gun sounds in BC2 were pretty damn good-Sh1fty- wrote:

I want a good game. DICE is a big company. The time they take to make guns that sound like BB guns could be spent making them sound epic.
Maybe guns that sound like little pew pew lasers is your thing finny.
No, I'd put which side the ejection ports are below how they sound.Finray wrote:
Shifty, you're being moronic. They're making a remake of a game we've all spent >500 hours on each, minimum. I don't give a fuck if the gun sounds aren't up to your standard. There's a lot more stuff they have to get right. Gun noises are at the bottom of the list. The very bottom.
It would have been nice, but how are they going to profit on the cash cow which is console noobs with no SP?mtb0minime wrote:
I wish they would stop trying to be everything and just focus on massive multiplayer. Fuck single player, fuck co op, just give me a proper sequel with a ton of effort in one area and make it strong instead of spreading thin and trying to accomplish too much.
Maybe you just have unreal expectations of what guns actually sound like.-Sh1fty- wrote:
