So I was just talking to one of my friends who is really into this genre. I just don't fucking get it. How does one listen to just loud-ass bass and get anything out of the experience?
I don't have an extensive list of what she listens to. I do recall her playing stuff from deadmau5 and bassnectar. It's that sort of electronic such n such with gratuitious amounts of bass.
That's not the same
wopwopwopwop
inane little opines
That's why i was so late with exploring dubstep as a genre.
I thought everything was just those shitty tracks with a cheap beat, crappy vocals and a boom-wop-wop-wop every minute.
Glad i looked past all that.

most of it is actually
inane little opines
Not going to deny that.
That's why i never saw what was hiding behind all the Skrillex and Nero.

Skrillex is shit imo no idea why he's so popular. Don't like ANYTHING he's done so far

deadmau5 is shitty house and bassnectar is shitty brostep. Try something like burial, james blake, zomby for starters and realize why people like dubstepDesertFox- wrote:

People have posted James Blake and such, but generally it's just beats, isn't it? It's like how my other friends can listen to six minute guitar instrumentals all day whereas I can tolerate maybe one or two. In my modern music (as opposed to classical), I like lyrics and meaning, and haven't learned how to appreciate the art of electronica as one would classical symphonies and such like.DUnlimited wrote:

Burial is pretty sick.
But the few friends that i have that listen to 'dubstep' also listen to skrillex and nero and such.
And i see why. Desertfox stated very well how the bteer tracks of electronic music are enjoyed like a classical piece, which not everyone can and things like eurodance and brostep is just easy to listen to, often because of a simple and catchy beat.

My buddy does the same thing, listens to skrillex all the time. Never anything else. Needless to say it got old real fast.
I usually put on a dubstep.fm podcast, they're usually pretty sick.

If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
Tell them to fuck off
Then tell them they don't know what dubstep is and then to fuck off.
Just let them listem to skrillex, as long as they don't get all snobby and in-your-face about, it's fine. And don't do the same to them with burial.
