Not to mention the lack of communication between the US and Pakistan forces would probably lead to some kind of conflict.
You know we blow up people in Pakistan all the time right?

My bad I was going by an ABC article that was being cited by CNN, and others.

And you think none of the decision to use ST6 was based on civilian casualties at all?

Do you know how bad it would've gone over if we'd killed 40 civilians to get one man who was largely just a figurehead at this point?

I'm fairly certain nobody gives a shit about Paki civilians enough that they wouldn't have accepted the "It would be too dangerous to send troops in" excuse.

But whatever I didn't say "And you think none of the decision to use ST6 was based on civilian casualties at all?"

Supposedly it was based on the desire to be able to recover the body.

Except for the words of the soldiers that "killed him" which by the way they are under the command of president Obama. This is a comspiracy so he can get re-elected.

Uh, no. Every time the US kills civilians they get shit on by some news outlet. By sending in one of the highest trained SpecOps squads to take him out, you ensure that innocent civilians in the area wouldn't have died. The process the military has to go through to prevent civilian casualties is pretty much ridiculous and they're not just going to pull the trigger on a JDAM and attempt to make excuses for it in a press conference. Maybe if this were 1944, sure.

Oh and in regards to your whole "it was nothing but college kids" argument, wrong as well. At least to my knowledge I'm the only person from this forum who went to either Ground Zero or the White House right after it happened, and the WTC site was flooded with members of Engine 10 (with radios on hand in case a call came in), police officers, taxi drivers, older men and women (some even brought pets for some reason), stock brokers and businessmen/women, members of the military, and so many other people. It wasn't just young college kids. From my 20-30 mins there before it started getting too crowded, I'd say 90% of the crowd was 25 or over.

From a national security stand point, what the doubters say is irrelevant... they needed dna evidence to make sure it was him... not so they could release a photo of brains splattered over a carpet.

As much as I hate Glenn Beck, he's right about this.

And Colbert's right to, a shoe would be better than whomever the Republicans could put out.*

Yeah because I'm sure you weren't referencing the celebrations as a whole.

Nice backtrack.

I don't care for the doubters either. I mostly take offense to the "let's not upset Muslims" thing and the weak backtracking the admin took.

So, somewhere in the world, there is a US Navy Seal who has the personal satisfaction of knowing he killed osama.

Kind of mind blowing when you think of it.

I was thinking of saying that myself, but was afraid a team of seals would get pissed and come to my house in stealth helicopters and kill me, take my body, and dump me into the gulf of mexico.
