A while back when i got really interested in string theory.  I read this theory that a guy had that stated that humans may not be wired to fully understand the way the universe works(physics stuff).  Much like dogs cant comprehend mathematics.
there was a dog on tv that knew math, they gave him and addition question and he would bark out answers
Hey are you talking about this dog:

I believe intelligent life on other worlds is a given... until we come up with faster-than-light travel (accordin to Einstein IMPOSSIBLE).. we will never know.

I think the biggest question is.... what would the telescope see if it could look past those galaxies....?

What if we could see what space was like before the Big Bang?
Actually, in a recent issue of TIME magazine, they believe that they caught the first glimpses of stars before the Big Bang.  We're talking 100's upon 100's of billions of light years, maybe more.  They used the CFHT on top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii.

It was SO far that Einstein's theory of gravity having an effect on the light became quite apparent when the stars they were looking at seemed oddly magnified.  They were magnified because over such an immense amount of distance, the gravity actually BENT the light so much so that it acted as a magnifying glass, thus allowing them to see these images.

what i think is that finding life in the universe is like finding physical proof of god on earth. it wont happen. now since i cant unprove it i cant say i believe there is no other life. people say well with the billions of stars and galaxys and infinate time, life has to of existed or will exist somewhere in the future on another planet. those are good odds, but what are the odds of life starting on a perfect "life starting" planet? meaning even if that planet is perfect why would life begin anyway? maybe we are a freak one in 10 trillion chance, why not? we can count how many stars there are (theoretically) but we dont know how and why life began so we cant calculate that chance. that chance could be a bigger number then the number of planets in the universe.

twiistaaa, good point, it would just seem pointless to have all that to only have one planet with life.. that will probably end soon enough anyways.  But yeah its a HUGE place so the chances of me ever seeing life on another planet in my life are probably fairly slim..
You're assuming there's a point to life.

But... seriously. Alien stories are total dumbass - what kind of 'intelligent life' would use precious resources and precious vehicles to fly for hundreds - if not thousands or millions - of years just to scare some truck driver and plant a few crop cirles?

Thats only if they are travelling at the speed of light or less.. There are alternative methods currenlty being discussed by scintisets and NASA called Zero Point energy - Which will enable us to travel far greater then the speed of light....

Here are some excellent videos at google they are long, but worthy at watching

I just finished watching the UFO Disclosure on Youtube.

According to one of the men there, he has actually seen the creatures inside these craft. What do you folks think? A human actually having contact with an alien life form. It was also mentioned that one was shot and killed.

This all sounds absurd.

And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.

I dont know if its been posted here before but i searched and couldn't find it.

the pictures reminded me of atoms floating around, then i started day dreaming (cuz I've gotten like 6 and a half hours of sleep each night this week ) and thought if each of those galaxies was an atom that made up a whole world and so on.

if thats a legitimate photograph, it pretty much rules out the "we're the only intelligent life out their" argument, what do you think?
I couldn't finish it. It was designed for SLOOOOW readers.

i want to know what brings a devout christian to go trawling the internet for videos of extra-terrestrial life?

surely even the possibility of their existence denies your religious mumbo jumbo?

in fact, anything to do with space and astronomy completely invalidates christianity

Not all Christians follow Christian mumbo jumbo to the letter. Some don't see any reason why 'god' would have told us everything there is to know about the universe, which is backed up by the fact that we don't know everything there is to know.

pretty fucking convenient...

so now only half the books of the bible are relevant or worth paying attention to?

how do you decide which ones are 'true' and 'real' then? what's the process? just whatever the fuck is convenient to maintain the fiction?

I know someone who studied theology, he says that it's about trying to find a consistant line all throughout the bible. So, if 80% of the book supports Y and 20% says X, he goes with Y.

simply put.
