Basically µ, hating hats in TF2 is cool now. It's been cool for the past few months. You, being the trend setter that you are, have hated them from the beginning. Why it's suddenly cool? Because the Steam forums needs something to complain about (it is the main function of an official forum) and that bleeds over into other shit. So as a result every now acts like the TF2 hats affect their gameplay and throw hissey fits.Uzique wrote:

so a month ago all you guys were sucking each other's dicks to get all the hats, writing letters to gabe personally because you just weren't getting enough hats, etc... now you're all disdainful and edit them out with text files? because, you know, hats are sooo terrible? rofl. you fucking guys. you're too much.

I however, being the kind of guy who is neither a trend-setter nor a follower has absolutely no problem with TF2 hats.
Yah it works for sure... Wow that game is trippyFloppY_ wrote:

You don't even have to play it. I just turned it on and I got the thing.FloppY_ wrote:

Yeah, more meta would only be possible if Valve released a game where the player controls Gabe, programming a Valve game (and eating donuts).TimmmmaaaaH wrote:
It is amusing to be pretty much playing steam at this point though, meta as fuck.
Currently there are nearly 3mil steam accounts online, if the same amount is online the 20th you will have ~1:3,000,000 chance to win 100 gamesunnamednewbie13 wrote:
Did Steam ever say what your 1-in-x chances are?
lol
Well this is abit different... There are "free" ones in each draw, and with some of them being easy such as 10friends or 1avatar, I reckon most people will reach as small a number as ten.. the wishlist was abit different because I don't think alot of people realized you had to have 10 wishes to have a chance at winning the top5Spidery_Yoda wrote:
That's assuming all 3 million people got 10 objectives.
Like the way everyone assumes 3 million people were entered for all the daily draws, I reckon a very small portion have 10 games in their wishlist. Most probably have 5 and don't realise it won't work.

true.. someone has to win..mtb0minime wrote:
Still, the "objectives" are easy to do, so why not? Don't expect to win, but you might as well give it a shot.
I think you can tbh...globefish23 wrote:
The chances to win are much, much better than to win the lottery.
Thousand times better, I'd say, having the Austrian lottery in mind.
Another thought occurred me.
It would be nice if you could also gift those free games.

Yeah pretty much this.Lucien wrote:
The turning point was when they started selling them, putting them in crates, giving them special bonuses, I.E the mann co. update. Like you said hats used to be rare and exclusive and that made them interesting. You wanted those soldier and scout hats too, remember. Then Valve flooded the game with utterly out of place and obnoxious hats that almost everyone has, ruining the whole idea and making the game a lot less visually appealing. And that's why now I prefer the hatless beta or a text file for removing them. They're not a minor gimmick to make one of your classes look nicer anymore.
