Has anybody actually found an apple yet?
I've gotten a bunch of saddles and buckets yet, but no apple so far.
I only found 2 green records in separate dungeon chests.
I thought that the golden one can only be achieved by luring a skeleton into killing a creeper, the latter which then always drops a record instead of gunpowder.

No you misunderstand me. I think it 'looks' great. It looks just like minecraft.
But what is up with the level design? Just endless maze-like corridors. So much more could have been done with the Minecraft theme than a few stone corridors.

So I get super-duper hyper lag when I play this game. I've got 2 save files, and i have been playing since the first page on this thread. I run at the lowest settings with the lowest visibility. I know it is because my computer is trash, but do any of you tech guys have any quick or easy sloutions short of buying a new system?

I was mining really far down in my main with my newly acquired diamond pick and I got blown up by a creeper.
I had 6 hearts and full iron armor, and it one hitted me.
Lost a bunch of diamond, 64 iron, bunch of reddust or whatever, and tons of stone (1200+) that I was gonna use to make a nice house.

As far as I understand, if you want to get biomes and Hell-access, you need to either start a new world or travel some distance from your spawnpoint (to get new chunks of land spawned with the new features, I suppose).
It seems the fishing rod finally gets some use.
And I wonder if we need to plant and grow those pumpkins first.
Also, Notch has already confirmed that currently placed torches will get transformed into lanterns.
