First off...I dont care about points or dying. On the Great Wall for example, I would take out clay's on purpose for my squad. I also do a lot of jihad jeeping. Secondly, I have almost twice as many hours as you as sniper, so I am not just talking out of my ass like some people.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

This is the second topic I've seen you post a completely meaningless and insulting message in less than five minutes. What would your advice be, oh high and mighty BF2 god?
This topics title makes it real obvious it's for snipers, so why did you click here just to insult people.
agree, but it is funny too, when you keep killing primary target and see that stupid medic reviving him all the time because there is some second after reviving, that target can NOT move away and you get a clear shot once again! That is mistake of almoust all medics- they do not look around, from where came the shot.rdx-fx wrote:

16. Be evil. Drop one target, wait for his medic to revive him, drop the medic THEN drop the original target again.
get ontop of a uav trailor, not many people will check for you there, and the camo works fine with it.
especially on wake in the chinese base with an M95

Yes, your right, you have about twice the time and about 75% of my kills. I really don't want to be bashing here, but when people get on a thread like this and all tehy say is don't be a sniper because it's useless, that pisses me off, especially when the topic says specifically not to do just that. As far as the claymore thing, i really admire that, and would be happy to run behind you with shock paddles anytime.usmarine2005 wrote:

Also, as far as the UAV trailer, that sounds like a really good idea, but do you have to jump down to it or are you talking aobut the first step.
My most helpful sniper tip is to have no more than 4 on a team and those who want it outside the use the G3 on sami auto
Yes I don't like sniping. Minus Karma me you guys who lose us the game. But honestly if you are going to go sniper make sure not everyone else is. I once watched about 6 or 7 snipers go for a flag on Kubra, all getting mown down by a single PKM guy. WHat did they do, you say? Half of them ran firing pistols, 3 with claymores out and 1 lay down trying to line a headshot. Fission Mailed

I've been informed that bodyshot-with-rifle, any-shot-with-pistol works well, too.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
Get expert pistol. People always talk about how beneficial expert knife is to there gameplay and everything, but as a sniper capping flags, your pistol is your most important asset, right above your claymores. Once I got expert pistol, I noticed i was a lot moer effective with the pistol as all classes, but it allowed me as a sniper to have a chance against those guys with assault rifles. My advice with it, aim for the head. (I'm serious)

I'm talking about extreme close quarters, I don't think I've seen any good sninpers with their rifles out in alleyways.
I actually enjoy taking out the clays, since Dice nerfed them.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Also, I was just thinking, do you guys prefer the L96 or the M95 in close quarters?
In CQB: Shoot with M95 first and finish with one pistol bullet.
Sounds like some crappy snipers then, that shouldn't have been a problem with 6-7 of them.Sgt.Davi wrote:

In CQC When you see a guy come around a corner (especially support) go prone and aim at there feet. They will almost certainly go prone too and there heads will fall directly into your crosshair. then, pop and theres your CQC kill.
Great advice from a noob with a .79 k/d ratio.[AK101] wrote:

Whoever sent this to me......"Your just a little sad you don't know how to use a sniper"..... have some balls and identify yourself and show me your sniper stats.

That's pretty funny. I hate comparing stats, I really do. But when someone says that to me I would like to see where they are coming from.the_heart_attack wrote:

Another interesting thing I've found out:
I spent the whole day on SF servers, testing the SVD under extreme conditions, turns out that the SVD is just sweet and the most underrated rifle of the whole game.Snipers with a close combat style like Nyte should definitely use that rifle, when you are dead-on accurate and nearly always hit the head it doesn't matter what rifle you use - headshot is headshot, the advantage of the SVD(if you are dead-on accurate) is that you can fire a lot faster.
But that's not the point.
The point is that the SVD seems to be the perfect training rifle.
After exclusively playing the Dragunov for some hours I decided to go back to normal BF2,first round was Wake.
I do my usual thing and pick the L96A1 and what do you know?
I get hits I personally call "insane",I hit running guys in the north base from the south base, killed people in RIBs while they where driving full speed sideways, shot people out of advancing tanks from long range, etc.,my shooting just got a lot better after the "SVD training".
At least that's what I experienced,I suggest everybody gives it a go and looks what it does for him.

Flanking, engage the other teams best players so that they concentrate on you and not on capping, drawing artie fire etc..
Not the best player (by far) but have been able to turn the tide of battle once or twice by doing the flanking best player things.
I've seen Nyte and don't_be_ss contro, the whole flow of some games. Nyte with his aggressive play and don't_be_because he just so Fing good!
