If there was a long post you'd have to scroll down more, if you had widescreen you might not had to. I'm not saying widescreen is beneficial enough to have it, in fact I don't think it is but it does have some advantages sometimes. To answer to your question - if on that screenshot was one of ATG's posts you would be missing half of it or more.
