Example letters aren't based on sizing codes, apparently.
For the curious
size is based on two measurements;
1) around the chest, underneath the breasts. This is the number, in inches. (ex. 34 in 34C)
2) around the boobs and chest, minus the chest measurement. In short, how many inches more than the ribcage.
1" = A,
2" = B,
3" = C,
4" = D,
5" = DD
Or, roughly from a visual reference perspective;
A = barely there.
B = Boobs, have some shape to them, but no cleavage (the boobs don't touch each other)
C = May have some cleavage, depending on outfit. May or may not sag when unclothed.
D = With most outfits, they'll be touching each other. Definite sag apparent when unclothed
Or, "A"dolescent, "B"oobs, "C"leavage, "D"amn!, "E"xtreme
A = Kiera Knightly,
B = Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman
C = Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johannsen
D = [can't think of a popular example]
E = Kelly Brook
Most of the healthy adult female population is going to be a "B" or "C"
