Not noob mods, but noob members.

It's just what happens when members create a bunch of spam topics that should be in EE Chat.

If we delete the threads, members get mad, so we merge them into the thread where they are supposed to go ... and that temporarily screws up EE Chat.

ok Admindog, i gave a shout out to jihad and Dauntless on their birthdays. i know better, and am fully aware of what starting those two topics may cost me.

but you indulge the likes of irishpride and pace51 and their shitty topics, their relentless spam so i'm prepared to take one for a well wish to two contributing members on the one day of the year that friends and family want to give wishes.

this is a community, and maybe birthday shouts in the junk drawer should not be hammered so quickly. my 2 ¢

And, then multiple people copied the idea (as they always do).

And, you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes - or all the things that get deleted or rejected - with regard to a member like pace51. Some days, a moderator will see half the first page of EE filled with redness ...

i appreciate this community, and per our PM's appreciate the time you put in - it was not lightly that i created "spam" threads, i genuinely like the members i created the threads for.

this collection of regular members has, in my opinion, great and diverse talent in many areas. a 'shout out' and congrats once in awhile is due, and hopefully coming back to a forum that i thoroughly enjoy.
