Kinect looks cool also. $125. Wife wants it
As long as natal actually is support on some good games not this family crap or boring arcade games(like the ps3 eyetoy), I'll like it.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Lol, how will that work? "Move forward so I can punch him, I'm tired of shooting."

Yes, but if the game supports it, it will acknowledge the command.SEREMAKER wrote:

Oh I've been writing all this on my iPod touch
Then explain this voice activation crap then. Also I thought there were only imaginary controllers?

Personally I thought the kinect forza thing was stupid. Why would I want to pretend to hold a steering wheel? and where is the gas and brake? and do you have to stand up to play it, that would suck..... The game graphics looked cool, I just thought the motion sensor aspect of it was stupid.
The price issue is still a valid concern. If you're a casual gamer but still want to play some of the newest games without keeping yourself in new PC supply, a console is a great choice. As for upgrades, if I had to choose between a new video card and a cheaper console that would last for an entire generation's library, I'd go for the console.RTHKI wrote:
so my friend was watching it on g4 and they were talking about crysis and how the guy couldnt run it and people buy consoles because they dont want to spend 3-4k on a pc. wtf
and kinect forza? just get a wheel and pedals. .
But I don't like the motion sensing trend. Looks way too awkward and is currently awkward. Even though little kids might appreciate it, I think the industry got off track when they stopped really improving on Force Feedback controls and FF's profile updates. Get yourself a decent FF joystick or wheel and drive around in Mafia. You'll feel the cobblestones, curbs, when you go over a rail track...etc. It certainly beats shadowboxing with an imaginary controller.
Will all 360's be compatible for Kinect ? Or are they forcing us to buy the new 360 that is kinect ready ?
I wouldn't mind having a 360. I'll take the plunge on a whatever-ready new 360, but only for the outrageous gimmick of not spamming RROD. So yeah, I'll probably get a PS4 before then.Obiwan wrote:

That said, I think they would get a load of bad press if they didn't, so they probably will.
i meant doubt it to the forcing us to buy the newest 360 to use the kinectObiwan wrote:

so 299.00 + "150.00 for Kinect. Game stop price now could change" ? 449.00 then a game for Kinect 60.00 ect.=NHB=Shadow wrote:

509.00 yikes I might say F that. Just what an original 80gig PS3 went for.
After the conference was over on game trailers they said that Kinect would work on all xboxes but you gotta plug it into an outlet. The new 360 has a spot on the back you can just plug it into.
Guys in the Microsoft conference they specifically said that ALL 360s are compatible with Kinect.
The only reason they keep saying that the new one is 'Kinetc Ready' is because on the old Xbox Kinect needs its own power supply but with the new one it doesnt because of a special port.
Oh beaten to it.
