[Science] Whose You're Favorite Inventor?

A lot of people have asked for a dedicated science section to the D&ST so I'll start it off with a cool thread and maybe convince the mods to open up a science section because that would be cool.

My favorite inventor is Albert Einstein, inventor of the atom bomb.

If you were to credit any one individual, it would probably be Oppenheimer (but Teller is more fun).

He came up with one of the many, many, many concepts that needed to be married for it to work.

Lots of other people did too.

The people who invented the atomic bomb were the ones who put all the pieces together. The people working on the Manhattan Project.

Einstein didn't invent anything. He was a theoretical physicist. He didn't do inventing.

Anyone know how many things Bill Nye invented? I remember watching his show as a kid and like every week he had a new invention; centripetal force, volcanoes, electricity. Dude's a genius.

FM, ever since I saw the Tracer Bullet avatar, I knew you gotta be a calvin and hobbes fan. I am too. The comic strip's pretty good. Kinda old, but still humourous.
