Seriously, what the fuck.

So, it seems like a "clean up" of D&ST should happen... indeed the amount of red text I saw indicated that something is happening...

Now,
How should we go about 'Fixing' D&ST?
Note the emphasis - IF YOU CAN'T CONTRIBUTE TO THAT TOPIC, STAY OUT.
Disagreeing =/= not contributing.
Flaming/Personal attacks = not contributing

Now, to start off this thread, I'll say that one way to help would be through the clear presentation of rules, or guidelines. As FM stated, it should not be written solely by the staff of BF2s, the users should have some say... well let's start. One guideline I'll propose is that every op must have a question, or 'thesis' statement to guide the discussion. If the discussion cannot stay on topic, then the thread can get closed.
Feel free to add your own, or clearly state why this approach would not work - I'm willing to listen, as long as you don't resort to personal attacks.

However, that thread seems to have gotten bogged down, after only 4 pages... guess that's the D&ST limit, huh?
If it got back on track, then a mod can feel free to merge the topics, however, I intend this thread to be about the discussion in the OP.

Secondly, you guys are derailing this and going off topic and doing the exact things that make DST suck. So if you guys would shut up for a second... maybe DST wouldn't need fixing. Morpheus is right. And don't think actually doing what I'm asking to do hurts your rep, it doesn't. Come one, save DST. There's already one EE, we don't need another.

I think the point people are making here pace is that this thread isn't really necessary, when there's already a current discussion on exactly the same topic. Part of the point of the cleanup is the threads that don't really contribute in a way that a thread should. The OP should've just posted in the existing thread rather than starting a new one.

I'm not saying the point itself isn't valid, I actually totally agree with it and it's a good point, just not really threadworthy tbh.

He could have posted it in the fix dst thread pace wtf are you on about? It doesn't need its own thread, and why are you speaking like you've done anything other than come here, spam 30 spam threads and just troll people..?

If you think you're getting a hard time here take a break and have a think why and then adapt your posting style. If after that you still think yorure being insulted then ignore it.

While I appreciate the sentiment, Jaekus is right.

You made a good point with the thesis in every thread. If you want to make another productive thread, come up with a draft of a code of conduct for DAST and post that for discussion. I think that is how to make solid forward progress at this point.

As a side note, posts 2 and 6 are the kind of things we want to keep out of this section going forward. I know there are some people saying don't touch it/it's fine as it is, but I think it's pretty clear that some change regarding these types of posts would be nice.
