Was the change that dramatic? Where are the new weapon stats? They still seem different to me.

This one shoots a 2 round burst, this one a 3 round, these are auto, this one looks cooler than that one etc. They're all essentially interchangeable now.
Well they all fire nearly the same caliber anyway. None of the ARs have a higher cal than the 5.56x45, the others might be a 5.45x39. It's like you're trying to make a difference between getting shot by an M416 (5.56x45) and an M16A2 (5.56x45). They both use the same caliber, the damage is hardly going to vary.  Then you've got the AEK-971 (spelling?) and AN-94 which probably both fire the 5.45x39, maybe the AN fires 7.62x39 since it's got such higher damage.

What I'm trying to say is, the only weapon not firing a NATO 5.56x45 is the AN-94.

So the cosmetics are the only difference, which is realistic. Maybe one is longer than the other, and you'd get spotted easier hiding in a bush, or if you want to conserve ammo while staying accurate you might want something with a slower ROF, etc.

The answer is yes. If a lot of people are running around with the same weapon that means the weapon is unbalanced aka op. I don't need to tell you those weapons now do I Mr. Damage Chart?

I'll give DICE 100$ if they'll:

- Switch the M16A2 with the A4
- Properly model it's reloading and put the fucking parts where they really are (ejection port...)
- Make the fucking 40 mike mike a gadget that sacrifices something else for it.
- Make it single shot

Getting mighty sick of the pistol in this game. All the pistols should get a significant nerf.

Pistols should not be more powerful that a sniper rifle (allbeit a semi auto one). They shouldn't headshot either. The pistols in BF2 were perfect, whereas in this they are more powerful than many primary weapons and more accurate as well.

Honestly you could main the pistols and ignore the primaries and still dominate.

Then they should've picked a wider variety of weapons. There are hundreds of different weapon systems in the world right now and they chose a bunch that are similar in everything but looks. Why not the AK-47 and it's 7.62mm round? Why choose two Russian ARs that both shoot the 5.45mm? Why choose 5 NATO rifles that all fire the 5.56? Where's the SCAR-H and it's 7.63 round? They had plenty of opportunity for variety and instead chose the route of sameness. I want variety in my weapons, I want them to have flaws and be good or bad depending on the situation. That no longer exists in this game.

WTF are you on about?

I'm saying the pistols shouldn't be the equivalent of the real world counterparts. In no scenario in game should a pistol beat an AR or similar for two evenly matched players. But it will happen due to the stopping power and accuracy of the pistols. Hence why i used the BF2 example.

I know a lot of people on this forum are greatly attached to the pistols and for good reason. But it still doesn't mean they shouldn't be nerfed.

That update I installed two days ago made the game lag like a motherfucker. Fun to spawn to a squadmate just to find myself standing still for two odd seconds in the line of fire and get shot instantly. Hope they fix this soon enough.

I had a round where i spawned with a wrench in my head or the spawn 15 seconds would just restart.

I'm so freaking confused. Whenever somebody gets revived I shoot at them and they take no damage, like a spawn protection system, then I get killed. Guess what? Yeah, when I get revived I die instantly by some M60 fag.

What I don't get is people can run through my bullets and knife me from a room away, and I'm talking practically all bullets hitting at a very fast ROF (engineer PP2200 or whatever it's called, my bad) and they don't die, yet I can run up to someone stationary, knife them, blood comes out, knife again, more blood, the see me and knife, I'm dead.

Man, the knife is horribly broken for me. I suppose it's no real difference to BF2, so maybe they chucked that in for nostalgia.

I've been wondering the same thing. I can spawn and die instantaneously, yet I can empty a full clip and then some, they strafe once and headshot me with a semi...
